Des Plaines Kitchen Aid Repair

They came out Thursday to do the estimate. That is when I gave them a 500 check. They were suppose to come out Friday. To do the work. I forgot I had a funeral. We rescheduled. For Sunday. I called on sat and they said they could come out in 50 min. 2 1/2 hours later. I had to call them. They wanted to come out at 10:30 to fix the problem. I then started doing some investigating and found I was grossly being overcharged for parts. Also realized I was once again being charged for the $55.00. I no longer felt comfortable having them come in my house to do any work. I called des plaines kitchen repair and they sent appliance repair.  I asked for them to return my deposit and informed them I would be contacting Angie's list. At that point they wanted to re negotiate the price. I have since called des plaines kitchen repair and instructed them to refund my $55.00 charge. I was told by appliance repair that they would not return my check and I needed to stop payment on the check which is costing me $33.00.
