This architect had previously designed the plans for a 2nd floor addition constructed back in 1995 in the house we live. My parents previously lived in the house. My wife and I were interested in remodeling the basement so I decided to contact him considering his history with the property. During our text exchanges he never mentioned there would be a charge for his time and or visit. He showed up, answered our questions for 30 mins, and when he was done answering my questions in the basement he said "ok that'll be $150". I was so in shock and dumbfounded that I didn't know what to say but "um ok", that and I didn't want to have a verbal confrontation with my spouse in the house. What he pulled was unprofessional, sneaky, and totally bad business. I will never contact him again or refer him to anyone. Total s*****. Not to mention he was rushing my spouse and I in order to make his next appointment.
