They left the radiator transmission fluid low, luckily I just had my transmission rebuilt so I was vigilant and took it to the place that rebuilt my transmission and they filled it to the proper level.

I'm a little late in submitting this review, but Wally's CarStar in Des Plaines did a fabulous job with my repair.  Insurance from the person who backed into me covered $1826 of this repair.  While the car was in the shop, I decided to also have minor bumper damage from my own scrapings repaired. That cost me $1350.  The shop dealt with the insurance adjuster; all I did was drop off the car and pick it up.  Their competence, friendliness and professionalism made this experience smooth and easy.  I hope I don't need their services again, but if I do, there is no where else I would take my vehicle!

They were A number one, the best. The work was tops and it was half the price I paid anywhere else. It was done very fast. It was a good experience.

They did a fantastic job for an even more fantastic price!  Would definitely recommend to anyone.

The damage was assessed by a customer service representative, who then brought in another opinion from a co-worker. The co-worker spotted more damage than initially viewed. They wrote up an estimate, and the CSR advised how to contact the insurance company and proceed. The insurance provider undercut the estimate, but Carstar said they would cover the difference. Once I agreed to work with Carstar, the work was scheduled and a car rental arranged. The damage was reviewed again, and it was determined the damage was more extensive. Carstar had the insurance provider take another look and it was agreed. The check from the insurance provider was made out to Carstar for the difference.
The CSR was helpful and friendly throughout the process which took about a week. I am very pleased with the results which included new paint on the quarter panels, a new trunk lid, and a new tail light. I would recommend their services to anyone facing a need for auto body work!

They readily accepted my insurance company's estimate. Ordered the parts and the work was completed ahead of anticipated completion date. They arranged for the rental car company to pick me up at their garage and I never had to lift a finger! Friendly staff and did a great job on the repair.

It was the first time we had used them. They were fantastic. Everything from top to bottom was great. They worked well with the insurance company.

We originally went to a repair shop recommended by our insurance. They didn't treat my wife very well, so we checked Angie's List and found Wally's. They took the other shop's estimate, contacted our insurance company and told us what to expect as far as our deductible and when the car would be ready. Very easy people to deal with.

Both of my cars were recently hit and incurred damage. I took the smaller repair job to Wally's and was pleased with the repairs to the side of my car. Because of the job they did on that car, I chose Wally's for the second repair as well. The repairs to the rear bumper was excellent. In both cases, paint color was matched well enough that you cannot see that repairs were done.

We?ve been happy with them. I like them because of their speed and efficiency and because they are nice and accommodating.

This is the fourth car I have brought to this shop. One was deemed "totaled" but the other three were repaired. In each case the final cost was very close to the original estimate. I was kept informed of the progress and any unforeseen damage found during disassembly. Having a vehicle damaged is not pleasant but having Wally's do the repair made that part of it a pleasure.

I brought in my daughter's car with left front end damage. Shawn created an estimate of the cost to repair the damage piece by piece. He also explained that there may be other damaged parts that they would not know about until they began to disassemble the front end. He also explained that there may be some misalignment of the frame due to the impact. He told me he would call with any additional information. It turned out his estimate was right on and the final price was within $50.00 of the estimate. The car was finished in a little over 3 1/2 days and looks beautiful. My first experience with this company was much the same. The second car was deemed totaled because the repair cost exceeded the value of the car.
