Canine inspection took only about 15 minutes.

My husband and I found a bed bug in our Kitchen. My work-place had a minor infestation, and I believe I brought one home on my purse. Neither of us had any bites so we were hoping that we had only ONE bed bug. We didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on extermination since there were no signs of infestation. The dog and the handler were on time, professional, did quick inspection and declared us bed bug free. I waited 5 months to write this review to make sure that the dog was correct, and it was. It was a very stressful time, and I was worried about trusting the dog but I'm glad I did. We saved a lot of money not having to use and exterminator. I can't remember how much it cost, but this dog was more affordable than other places I called.

I was being bitten by something after I had spent a night at a very nice hotel in Chicago. I travel frequently and try to be very careful but who knows. I had issues on and off for a couple of months - I was the only one in the house who had bites and only three times in 3.5 months but enough to be scary to me! Linda was very straightforward and reassuring and told me she was 95% sure I didn't have them. But after too many nights crawling around with a magnifying glass (and finding nothing!) I needed confirmation. She said I had to wait because I had sprayed what I soon learned was a useless insecticide and it had to clear for the dog to be effective.. She gave me the instructions for preparing the house for their visit.
Jeannie and Shaggy came today and they were pleasant, on-time and did a very thorough search - even in my bedroom closet. While I was clear and had no bedbugs I would highly recommend them. I wanted to know one way or another and I did not feel at all like they were trying to push me into the service or use any scare tactics - in what is a very scary situation. They don't provide extermination just detection and based on my initial conversation with Linda--and the other reviews--I felt like I was dealing with a service provider I could trust. This is the third service I have used off of Angies' List and they have all been just terrific. I am so pleased with the value of this subscription.

They were very good, and very patient. They brought a dog out to sniff around the apartment several times, very thorough. They were so busy though, I had to wait 8 days for them to come out. Once they were done, it gave me piece of mind. I wish they could have come sooner.

My wife travels 3-4 days a week for business - so she's in many hotel
rooms. Recently she woke up in a hotel with bites all over her - we called Linda -
she returned our call immediately, giving us advice so my wife wouldn't bring them back
to our house. A work computer and other electronics needed to come back home,
but not clothes, etc. In a separate
situation, a friend admitted having bed bugs after we helped them move
out of an apartment with our SUV. We called Linda again, and she called me back immediately,
with advice on how to fumigate our car. She completely put our minds at ease. Linda is the best!

Both handler and dog arrived on time and systematically walked the rooms on each floor. The dog is trained to pickup scents of the bugs from quite a distance, however, we made it easdier by having luggage used for travel open and out for inspection. Dog is trained to react to scents by scratching his paw at the first sign of infestation. Dog and handler have worked together for over two years and handler understands dog's reactions very well. Handler did a superb job of answering questions after the walk-through. Entire inspection took probably 15 minutes. Fortunately, there were no signs of infestation. Had there been, the service recommends companies that are equipped to eradicate the bugs. This service is inspection only, but very good!

I own a six flat which became infested with bed bugs about two years ago. One tenant had them without telling me and they spread to two other apartments. It cost me $2,700.00 to treat the entire building over a four month period even though three apartments did not appear to have bed bugs because I didn't know which apartments they had spread to.

My tenant called me two months ago to say she had seen bed bugs again. I had heard about bed bug detection dogs and this time I called Bed Bug Solutions to come out first and find which apartments had bed bugs so I wouldn't have to pay an exterminator to treat the whole building.

They came out in a few days and and quot;Shaggyand quot; began inspecting each apartment. He found no bed bugs in any of them including the apartment where my tenant said she had bed bugs. I insisted to the handler that their dog was mistaken. I told her that my tenant had bed bugs previously so she knew what to look for. The handler said that if there were bed bugs Shaggy would have alerted. I was extremely skeptical that my tenant would say she had seen bed bugs and was getting bitten if it weren't true.

We took the sheets, pillows and blankets off the bed and lifted up the mattress and box spring and Shaggy inspected everything. (It was a very hot day and I really appreciated the handler helping me with all of this.) Shaggy still did not alert. The handler said she would come out again without charge if we saw bedbugs. I was doubtful but I (reluctantly) paid the bill.

I told the tenant to to kill the next bed bug she saw and bring it to me. It has been two months and she hasn't seen any. Shaggy was right. There were no bed bugs. I saved a lot of money by not having to pay for unnecessary treatment. I will definitely use this company again.

They were very responsive getting the appointments set up, showed up on time, and did a quick and professional job running the dog through the house looking for bedbugs. Best of all, it looks like the bugs are gone (after thermal remediation).

I cannot recommend Bed Bug Solutions more highly. We had found some suspicious evidence of a possible bed bug problem not long after a trip to Europe and were advised to have a canine inspection done. Linda DeValesco (the owner of the company) could not have been lovelier to deal with: extremely knowledgeable, very pleasant, and she conducted herself with the utmost professional integrity. She and Scooby (her trained canine) arrived within the stated time frame on both visits despite an extremely busy schedule and conducted a very thorough and efficient inspection of the entire house. Despite having to deliver bad news, Linda was both compassionate and professional and was able to offer very reasonable suggestions regarding treatment/abatement options. She was also able to provide information excellent recommendations with respect to bed bug prevention measures during travel and at home. I would highly recommend scheduling an inspection with Bed Bug Solutions to anyone suspecting a bed bug problem. Needless to say, this is a highly anxiety-provoking situation and Linda's kind manner, obvious expertise, and clear professionalism go a long way in helping manage the problem overall. Perhaps most important, the canine inspection process itself, considered the most accurate detection method by far, will help determine whether a bed bug problem exists and what type of treatment process might make sense.

They were great. They were extremely personalized and very discreet. They did a good job.

Linda was fantastic. My wife was freaking out - we came back from vacation and she was covered with red, itchy bumps. We determined one of the hotels we stayed at might have given us bed bugs. I called Linda on Friday morning in dispair - she was able to come to our house the next morning. She was incredibly professional on the phone, emailed us ahead of time with a preparation procedure, and then arrived right on time. She really put our minds at ease, explained exactly how she would go through the house, and was very courteous and understanding. We would recommend her to anyone! If you do any research on the internet, you will find how serious beg bugs can be, and that dog investigation is the single best way to determine if you have them or not.
