We had John the contractor come out and look at our bathroom and we told him we wanted to completely remodel our bathroom and vent it properly so we would not have a mold or water problem. Gave us a fair price and said the project would take 2 weeks (it took 5 weeks). When removing everything they found that a venting pipe had cracked, and that was causing a leak from outside which in effect was causing the mold. For an extra 400 hundred dollars they could fix it and we would be mold free. We had them fix it and they finished the bathroom. ( He has a guy named peter who did most of the work, our bathroom looked nice.) Our problem is that they never really fixed the leak so after about 9 months we realized that we were getting water damage from roughly the same location. After contacting John, he said he would come out to take a look next week. Two weeks later he finally came out and saw the damage and wanted to get a roofer out to take a look. Again two weeks later the roofers came out, and said there was a leak around the venting pipe and for 300 hundred dollars they could fix it. Well I wanted it fixed so I told them to repair the leak, and I will pay. I then called John and said I wanted the damage repaired that was caused by the leak. He said he would be out the next week. I still have not heard from him one month later after repeated phone calls. I was willing to pay for materials, but since he never came back to even discuss I guess he is not willing to guarantee his work.
