In mid Summer of 2014, he gave me an estimate to trim a tree, the limbs of which were growing too close to my roof. I confirmed that I wanted him to do the work, he said he'd come when he could. HE NEVER CAME.

In early Summer 2015, he gave me another estimate, this one higher, to trim the tree that he hadn't trimmed the year before that was now scraping my roof. I waited until September. He never came. So I called someone else who charged more, did a bad job, but showed up 3 days after giving me the estimate. The limb scraping my roof had taken off some shingles, so today I joined Angie's list to look for someone to repair my roof.

Called him in early summer of 2013. He was doing some work for one of my neighbors.. He came over and gave me a bid to trim 3 maple trees and remove an Ash tree that was dead from the Ash Borer bugs.. He gave me a very reasonable bid for the work I needed to be done.. I waited all summer... HE NEVER SHOWED UP.... TERRIFFIC.. Then early this summer I saw him down the street doing some work.. Went down to talk to him... Yes, he came back and we discussed doing the same work.. OK, yes, he is sorry he never got back to me... But he will be there in a week or 2... Same story.. NO SHOW... Im finding out about these guys, if you dont have a big money job ( 4 or 5 Thousand dollars ) they are not very interested and likely will not show up.. So keep this in mind... I would not recommend these guys if you actually want any work to get done...

We called A-1 to get a quote for cutting down a 55ft Elm tree, removing the stump and trimming 4 other large trees. I called the number and left a message. The next morning Stan came out and gave us the estimate and answered any questions we had. Once we gave him the ok, he said they could make it out in 2 weeks. 2 weeks to the day they showed up. Stan and his crew showed up about 8:30amd and finished about 5pm. Other than the trees looking much better, you would never even know they were here. They even cleaned up the wood chips from the stump. Very professional crew! Will use again!

They charged me about $800 for their services. It was a lady who did the actual stump grinding. It was she and I guess it was her boyfriend, who was middle-aged. A1 Tree Service is owned by one man and his girlfriend does the stump grinding. She sort of did all the work for him. He brought the machine and she was sort of a subsidiary. They were both nice. She was a very nice person and they did a good job. Their price was reasonable. They came when they said they would. They told us to call them back if there were any problems. They said that they would come right out if we had any problems. Their price was good. I would use their services in the future too.
