We hired him to provide a full inspection of a short sale. Twice now we've been burned with things he either completely missed or said outright it was adequate.
First was the electrical write-up. We were given the write up with a quick verbal review. We were told, while it was old and maxed on its breakers, it was in good condition. The report noted that there were doubled up circuits, and that the mast was secure. We were not told that doubled up circuits was a code violation and that a new circuit box was necessary. Also, the mast was not secure, much less grounded. The electrician we hired to do the work was shocked the electrical was given a "average" rating.
The second was not noting water damage in the basement. He noted that floor tiles were chipped but not loose. In fact, many tiles were loose. In addition, closer inspection would have shown that it was from water. Also, he didn't inspect the drain. If he had, he would have seen that it was backed up. We discovered this the hard way with the first rain, and an inch of water in part of the basement. The foundation expert we brought in was surprised the home inspector missed the obvious signs of water damage.
I can not stress enough our disappointment with his work.

Everything went very well. He showed up on time and he was very knowledgeable. He gave us some instructions on how to keep everything working well, and gave us some information on what we might need to replace in the future. We were very happy with his work.
