David Nowak and PMF Construction were referred to me by a close friend who'd used them to remodel her kitchen, bathroom and do other work in her home.  When I saw their work, it was beautiful.  So when my plumber told me that the cracked floor tiles in my bathroom were the result of a many-months-old leak that had been undetectable and which had rotted out the wood beneath the tiles, I needed to find someone who could come out immediately.  I'd actually planned to do a bathroom renovation later this year, but now it could not wait.  My friend contacted David, and he contacted me, and came out that same night to give me an estimate.  There was absolutely no high pressure.  I thought his price was a little high, but he assured me that his price would NOT go any higher no matter what, and that it might come in lower depending on my materials choices, etc.  (As it turned out, he ended up replacing the pipes which were corroding and which would have created problems within perhaps a year or less, and there was no additional charge to do this).   He consulted with me about what my taste was, and came back the following day with tile samples that exactly matched what I'd said I was looking for. When I described the type of vanity I was hoping for, he shopped various stores for me and would text me pictures, always keeping my need for economy in mind.  After I told him what color I'd like, he selected the absolute perfect paint.  He has an artist's eye.    His crew began work on a Tuesday, and by Wednesday late afternoon, we were able to use a toilet (which he then removed during the day to complete the tile work and then re-set the next evening so that we didn't have to live in a hotel for more than one day during the renovation process.)  His workers showed up on time every day, worked carefully, and cleaned up after themselves every evening before leaving.  David texted or called me every day to see if I was satisfied with that day's work.  He is very down to earth and yet very professional.  Mine was a small job for him (he has done some large, very extensive and beautiful high-end projects), and yet I always got the sense that it was his most important job.  The entire renovation was completed in a week weeks’ time.  Another of my friends had scheduled a bathroom renovation project with a different contractor for approximately the same timeframe.  The work at HER house is still ongoing, and her contractor has sometimes failed to show up on a day he promised to be there, or has given excuses for needing to be on another jobsite before completing her work.  I never experienced that with PMF Construction.   I definitely intend to have David and PMF come back to do additional work for me, and feel very lucky to have been given their name.   I would absolutely recommend their services.  Although I initially thought PMF's price was a little high, they were worth every penny and I feel I got excellent value for my money.
