They did everything they were supposed to do. One of them is a vet tech, so they know what they're doing. They left the place neat, the follow up has been good, and for an initial experience it's been grand. I've been at ease since I've been home.

I hired A Paw Above the Rest to cat sit for me while I was on vacation.  Dana and Jim took care of my 4 cats, 1 of my cats is elderly and requires medication 2x's a day.  This was my first time using them and I was very happy with their service.  I met with Dana prior to leaving, to go over each cats needs and show her where everything is kept.  I felt very comfortable and confident after meeting her, that she would take good care of my cats while I was gone.  She is very knowledgeable about cats and was familiar with pilling a cat and the medications that my cat was on.  During my trip, Dana emailed me when she became concerned that my elderly cat was not eating.  I appreciated that, and she ended up having to assist him with his eating.  Everything was fine when I arrived home.  Dana and Jim left daily progress notes for me, and asked that I call when I arrived home, which I thought was a nice touch.  Everyone looked happy and healthy.  I would highly recommend A Paw Above the Rest and will use them again in the future.

h thWe began doing business with A Paw Above The Rest in February of 2011 when the sitter from our previous service declined to come over due to uncertain weather and road conditions (in fairness, she is an elderly lady with some mobility problems).  We were stuck.  We needed a sitter and on relatively short notice (2-3 days).  I found APA  on the internet, reviewed their site and policies and decided to take a chance on them.  I called and we immediately scheduled a sit down so they could meet the cats, I could give them a set of house keys and we could get to know each other. The APA representative (Eileen or Arlene, I really don't know as i have a very severe hearing loss and the two names sound the same to me) was very professional, courteous and thorough in her questions and in explaining their services.

As it turned out, we did not go on this particular trip as our flight was cancelled due to weather.  We contacted APA and they agreed to apply the payment we had made to the next time we needed their services.  We really appreciated this, especially given that we were not an established customer.  

A couple months later, we had occasion to need APA's services again and they did a fine job of caring for our guys (we have two male cats).  Since then, we have used their services five or so times for periods ranging from a few days to two weeks.  Each time, we have been very happy with the service we have received. Our cats are well cared for while we are gone. We know that the APA folks are reliable. Hence, we are able to vacation or take care of far-off family business with one fewer worry.. That's worth a lot to us.

In the grading section of the report, I gave APA all A's with the exception of a single "B" for price. I should qualify this by saying that it is very difficult for me to give anybody an "A" when money is being transferred from our back account to somebody else's, regardless of the amount...:)   I'm cheap..  The fact is that APA's rates are reasonable, competitive and are a more than fair exchange for the very high quality of service received.  Indeed, their rates are about the same as our previous sitting service, which was far, far less reliable and  delivered an inferior level of service.

We recommend A Paw Above The Rest without reservation to anybody with pet sitting needs.

Excellent experience. This is a family run business with mom, daughters, son-in-law, sister and nephew doing the services. One person is a vet tech, very reassuring. Everyone is knowledgeable and very friendly and they all love animals.

THEY''VE BEEN TO MY HOUSE MANY TIMES NOW OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS AND EACH OF THEIR EMPLOYEES (ARLENE, DANA, JIM) ARE ALL OUTSTANDING. MY CAT HAS GROWN TO LOVE THEM! THEIR SERVICE IS EXCELLENT! THEY LEAVE A NOTE EACH DAY ABOUT WHAT THEY DID AND HOW THE CAT WAS, AND A CARD ON THE LAST DAY FOR ME TO CALL WHEN I RETURN. IF I DON''T CALL, THEY''LL FOLLOW UP TO MAKE SURE I''M HOME AND THE CAT IS OK.
