Basement Waterproofing
In 2016, I had a waterproofing system installed in my basement. I have had nothing but trouble with the system that was installed. I had them out three times to fix the issue, but it was never resolved. I now have water running out of the weep holes that they were supposed to have fixed when they removed the old system. In addition, I have what appears to be water coming up from under the floor where the drains were installed. I contacted the owner over a week ago and have had no response. Please do not trust this company! He claims to guarantee his work, but he does not.

Basement Waterproofing, Foundation Repair
It did not go well at all. From the very beginning, he did not want to get back to me in a timely manner. He told me that since it was ONLY warranty work that he would have to squeeze me in. When he finally did arrive he had every excuse under the sun why it was not warranty work. I was sucker punched and led to believe that he was trust worthy. He took $13,000 and left my basement in shambles and said that for the money you paid me that was all I could do. He tore out dry wall and left bare walls and studs in them. He left the place very dirty and dingy. His crew got epoxy and sealant all over my toilet and washer. Never compensated or offered to fix it. He then proceeded to tell me months later that the job still was not good enough to save my home. He no longer uses the old system so the warranty is null and void and that he would have to tear out all his previous work and install new. That I would need to do all this extreme work or else my home was going to crumble under me. I would have to spend another $20000 to do this.

Basement Waterproofing, Concrete Repair
Subcontractor used for concrete work just showed up to do work without notification, after repeatedly asking Rick from Zion Pros to give me at least 1 day notice. Their concrete work was good. Tore up my yard quite a bit with the bobcat (wet ground) & did minimal work to repair damage done. Worker who sealed concrete was inexperienced, pre-cleaning was not good, & applied sealer when rain was forecast (it rained before sealer was dry). Crack joint filling could not be completed in 1 visit because they did not have adequate supply of caulk. A different person came out several weeks later to finish caulking, used the wrong product completely, had to come back several weeks later again to grind off the wrong product & finish the job with the correct product. That part of the caulking job still looks bad. The French drain work was very good, the crew very professional & hard working, & I was very pleased with the result.

Overall, this is about as drastic of a project as you can have on your home. If you find yourself in this position - either suck it up and just call these guys or sell the house and run.
If I had to do it over, I would recommend the following when working with Rick (owner) and the masonry guys (we had Larry and his crew who were excellent):
1. Understand that "Inspecting" footers does not include replacing footers. Seems obvious, but we had a bit of confusion. Luckily we didn't need them replaced.
2. Spec out and include in the quote an Egress basement window (we wanted to add a window to add a potential bedroom in the basement).
3. Clarify with Rick & others how you want the sump pump plumbed and routed outside of your basement. (They'll do whatever, its just easier to figure out beforehand).
4. Schedule a carpenter well before the project is started to come back in to rebuild basement stairs (usually those have to come out) and do any other finish work after the walls are replaced.
5. Plan to re-landscape your yard. Excavating down to your basement footers is pretty intense (1 Bobcat, 1 Excavator, and multiple dump trucks) leave lots of ruts and pretty destroy your grass.
