They came out as soon as I called and did a great job. They also did a key pad repair.

One garage door spring had broken, so called Midstate first thing in the morning. They said they could come out after noon that same day. I called them later in the morning, and they were able to be at the house by 11:30am, which was helpful for my schedule that day. The serviceman was very friendly and helpful, answering any questions that I had. The only reason I gave this a C rating overall is because he told me that the bolts on the garage door were loosened up due to seasonal changes on the wood door. He said he would go ahead and tighten them up for us. However, he never mentioned that there would be an additional charge for this service that lasted merely 5 mintues. We had both of the springs replaced on the door, even though only was was broken at the time. When I received the invoice the next day, I was shocked to see that we had been charged $35.00 for the serviceman tightening the bolts on the door! Never did he mention that in performing that service would we be charged anything additional. I assumed since it was such a simple procedure, that it was being included in the charge for replacing both of the springs as a courtesy. I called the company, was told that I would be contacted later that day by the company's owner, but that most likely the charge would stand. I never got a call back. I informed my husband, who called the company later that day. He was called back the next business day, spoke to the owner and the owner agreed to waive the fee. The quality of work, punctuality or friendliness of service was never the issue. It was the fact that we were blindsided by the additional charges.
