This is the second time we have used Brad for a home inspection. Each time we have been completely satisfied with the service he provided. Brad was very thorough and explained everything to us as we went through each house. If he found an issue, he did not over-react (and as a first time homebuyer, this was nice). He simply explained how to correct the problem and we moved on.  He is by far the best I have ever heard from talking to others that have had home inspections. Brad Kershner (owner of Central Illinois Inspection Corporation) performed the home inspection.  He began the inspection at 8am.  I arrived about 30 minutes after he had began.  He definitely recommended that I be present at the inspection.  He was very thorough and inspected the entire home.  The house is about 1700 square feet and the entire process took about 3 hours to complete.  As a first time homeowner, I am very appreciative of the way he took the time to educate me during the inspection.  For example, when we went into the crawl space and he made sure I understood the importance of keeping it dry and opening/closing the vents at the correct time of the year, showed me where to turn off the water to the house, the importance of the plastic that was on the ground and pointed out the danger of how the clothes dryer was being vented into the crawlspace and strongly recommending that I should not do that.  I am very satisfied with the job that was performed and would use Central Illinois Inspection Corporation again.
