We moved into a new house and had many concerns about the hot water supply.  Binder came out and diagnosed our problems.  First problem was the dip tube was broken on the original heater.  They fixed that easy enough.  They also did some research and found that the water heater was undersized for our demand and installed the new heater in parallel with the existing unit the following day.  Everyone was very polite and did great work.  A wonderful company!! The owners should be very proud and our community is lucky to have them in town!!

The plumbing work was pretty expensive. The experience was very good. They were very professional. We were very glad with what they did.

Work was completed quickly and on time. Precautions were taken to keep dirt off white carpeting. Workers were very professional.

Overall, the experience wasn't good. They should really stick to plumbing and not carpentry. The technicians ended up cracking my new tub, and one of their installers blamed it on me. They did fix the tub, but I told them I didn't want them back. I didn't think they were very professional. I paid them up front for the entire job, and I never received any sort of refund, even though they never came back.

The price was way too high. After the work was done I found someone that could've done it for literally half the price. Then I wanted a stainless steel sink, and they told me to go to a company that charged way too high of a price. Also, when they removed the sprayer from the kitchen sink, they didn't do a good job plugging the hose. They just folded it over and tied it off.

I had already had another plumber (Mike Williams) try to fix this, and they were terrible. Binder Plumbing sent someone quickly and the problem was resolved very well after he got the parts. (It's an old house).

We had initially called Binder about a slow upstairs drain and water pressure concerns. They basically verified that we didn't have a problem, and that they were normal symptoms of an old home. Jack recommended soaking the shower head in vinegar, and did not charge us for the visit. Yay!! SO when we called back for help with our ancient boiler we expected good things. Not so. The service tech (NOT Jack) initially said he was uncomfortable even working on the boiler until it was made more safe (which is what we wanted too!) and did lots of hemming and hawing; as if he didn't know what to do or where to start. We then had a series of people (over days and scheduling mishaps) who supposedly were the boiler experts. In the end, they lit the boiler, and gave us a quote for a replacement, which was outrageously high and included replumbing the entire house and replacing the radiators. There was nothing wrong with the pipes and radiators. They then had the audacity to send us a bill that charged us for several hours of work (the guy had been here for like 20 minutes, with my husband by his side helping the whole time). When my husband called and questioned the bill, they explained they charge for driving time! Their office is maybe 10 minutes away, They then 'did us a favor' and knocked off about half an hour worth of time. Obviously, when we did need a replacement boiler later we went with another company. Please see my GREAT review of Jesse Heating and Air.
Response from BINDER PLUMBING & HEATING
"We did a clean & check service on the Member's old boiler. Our charge was $113 and the Member complained so we charged the $60.00 which was below our minimun charge $77. Like most Plumbing service companies we charge from when we leave the job before till we finish the current job. I have a signed work ticket that showed our tech arrived at 7:20 and left at 8:20. Upon our inspection we found that the old boiler basically had no safeties. Our service tech was hesitant to to even turn the unit back on due to safety issues. We wanted to price a new boiler but the Member insisted on us pricing the cost of upgrading his current system. Yes, this took us several trips and a few different people because we were basically designing the system which we normally leave to the manufactering engineers. We knew the upgrades were going to be complicated and expencive but at this time the owner did not want a price on a new unit. We submitted our repair price and never heard back. A price for a new boiler was never given by us as the Member states. We do agree a new boiler was the best way to go, as we suggested, but we were not allowed to price one. As I said, he was unable to locate source of leak in ceiling, but was very helpful. (Leak might be due to roof, not pipe). They do quality work, go above and beyond, and are very professional.
