It was excellent. Fantastic customer service and attention to detail. He also came back at no charge twice for touch ups. I would definitely hire him again.

John James was on schedule and stayed within my budget for the job I wanted completed. I was able to get what I wanted in the time frame that I wanted it. He is very competitive in his prices and very professional. I got great quality wood and am very happy with my results. I never felt that I was pressured in to making a decision and he helped me figure out all my wants and needs. I would definitely refer him and use him again in the future!

My floors are gorgeous! They are my favorite thing in the whole restoration. They add so much beauty to the rooms and they are so easy to care for. John is also a terrific guy to have around. Very fast and hardworking but funny and just really an all around great guy. Someone you really like having around.

Great. Starting on time and finished on time

The job went great. John was great to work with. I have used him in the past and he was a referral from my parents quite a few years ago.

Removal of existing flooring and installation of the hardwood floors was completed professionally and the process was done quickly. Any follow-up questions were handled professionally and quickly.

They did a great job.  John took a lot of trouble to get the stain on both refinished and new floors to match the living room, which was the one room that didn't need to be re-done.  Because we were working at the end of August, when a lot of people go on vacation, there were some delays in getting the special cuts we needed for a stairs that were wedge-shaped, but John was good about keeping us informed about what was going on, working around that situation, and getting everything squared away in time for the painters to start work.  This was my second time using this company; they did some refinishing in a condo I moved out of and a house I was moving into 12 years ago, too.  All of that work was great, as well.  They're very pleasant, cheerful, friendly people.  The house looks 100% better with the new floors!

Overall, it went very well. I initially called him on the recommendation of a friend, whose floors were refinished by him about 5 years ago. He came to give a quote and was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He sanded down the floors on days 1 and 2, and applied the polyurethane on days 2 and 4 (day 3 was all drying time - it wasn't ready for the 2nd coat on day 3). I wasn't sure which color stain I wanted, so he tested out several colors on the floor so my husband and I could choose our favorite. The floors look fantastic. We have received compliments on them from guests. I would use him again and refer him to friends.

John had done an excellent job installing hardwood floors in an addition 3 years ago, so I called him for an estimate on this project. I had hoped to just have the floors refinished, but there was extensive staining from a previous owner's pets hidden under the carpeting. He test-sanded several spots (at no charge), and found the stains were too deep to be sanded out. I could either replace two rooms or go back to carpeting. He gave me an estimate that was lower than I had expected, and was able to begin work the following week. Everything was completed in 4 days, and looks beautiful. He even crafted piece to fill a gap under a door sill that had been left unrepaired for several years. We had a little confusion about the requirements for garbage pickup for the wood removed, but John resolved it to my complete satisfaction. I highly recommend this company, and would use them again gladly.
