Very responsive, called one day, problem fixed next day.

From the first phone call, Project Manager John Ilkow was responsive, professional, and easy to deal with. He clearly outlined our options and provided us a free estimate "on-the-spot," including rates for any additional work that may arise, unforseen. He provided us a shingle sample and folder full of product, warranty, and licensing information. After collecting multiple quotes, we chose Jarvis Exteriors for our new roofs based on the quality materials, reasonable pricing, and John! We were not disappointed! First, the work was scheduled to be started less than 10 days after we signed the paper and provided a deposit. Then, a day before, a very polite young man from Jarvis came to the house to post the building permit in the front window. Later that day the materials were delivered. On work day, John and the crew were prompt and prepared. They discussed all that would be done. The crew took great care protecting our lawn and gardens. They were respectful, hard-working, careful, thorough, and cleaned up completely. The new roof on the garage and front of the house was done in ONE DAY. And it's beautiful! Even after a complete tear-off and re-roofing, ALL my tulips stood tall and had all their petals! For some additional anticipated work, John presented the need for it, confirmed the cost was the same as originally quoted, and waited for our approval before having the team proceed. We agreed. The final bill was EXACTLY what was quoted and what we expected. We couldn't be more thrilled with the entire experience with Jarvis Exteriors, John, Ilkow, and the rest of the crew!

Rob and his crew did a great job. They were on time and got right to it. The house looks great and when there was a problem a few months later they came out and took care of it. I would definitely use them again and definitely recommend them.

Jobs were well done

  We have used them before for our roof which was done in no time.   This time around we are on day 3 and they only have the back side of my house done.  Still 3 sides to go. There no issues that would take up time extra time   My neighbors have the same size house and there's was done in 2 days..  Only 2 men on this job who are slow on the job which at this rate is goingd to take more than a week.  I would not hire them for siding. My father and grand fathers were in the trades I have never seen slow paced workers like these 2 nor ever experience such a mess they leave.

Interviewed on-site the top 4 rated companies I could find online at various websites.   Jarvis came out on top in every category.  Communication was excellent before agreeing on work scope, and during the work.  The work and follow-up were also of excellent quality as were the workers themselves.   Had roofing, siding and windows replaced due to hail and other damage.  Best price for the amount of work accomplished.  They would definitely be my choice if I were to need work done again

I liked that they were local. I heard about them through a friend. They were very professional. They had quality products. Their staff was knowledgeable. Their workmanship was incredible and we have not had any issues with our siding since. There was a minor piece that got loose and they came back to fix that quickly. The also installed windows for us too.

The job was performed on time, quickly, and we're very happy with the results. Excellent price.

I used Jarvis Exteriors for my roof in 2002. I called him back in 2010 had the flat roof over the garage done. In August I called Rob to get a estimate on replacing my windows and siding. His pricing was excellent and the timing of the installation couldn't have been better. The windows took 1 day and the siding took another 3 days. Cleanup was done perfectly. I would recommend them highly for any exterior work.

Confirmed hail dammage. Gave me good advice on how to re-submit a claim with Allstate, which was improperly denied.

My neighbor initially contacted Jarvis Exteriors to look at her roof and mine to see if there was any damage due to the hail storm. Ted Kopczynski from Jarvis was nearby and came to our houses within an hour. I pointed out to Ted the damages I had seen; he found other things I had not discovered. Ted climbed on the roof and saw enough damage to warrant a new roof.
Ted gave me a sheet titled "So I have hail damage, what's next?" Nine steps were listed telling me the procedures about what would happen. This was very helpful.
I decided to have Ted come back when my insurance adjuster was scheduled to look at the damage. Both Ted and the adjuster climbed the roof; the adjuster agreed with Ted about the roof as well as the other damage.
No estimate was done for the hail storm damage since Jarvis accepted what my insurance paid.
An estimate was done for the extra work, which was very reasonable. I paid just what the estimate was - no surprises!
Two different crews did the work - one for the roof, a second for the rest.
All work was done in a professional manner.
Cleanup was superb!

Jarvis Exteriors, Inc was very pleasant and very professional. They did everything they said they were going to do in a timely manner.

We had a fantastic experience with Jarvis Exteriors and plan to use them again for any exterior work we may need in the future. We called over the weekend (11/25/12) and left a voicemail stating we needed an estimate for a new roof ASAP. Ted Kopczynski with Jarvis came on 11/27/12. He listened to my concerns and together we discussed solutions. Ted was very thorough in his explanation of our options. After surveying our roof and other concerns, he went to work drawing up our estimate. About an hour and half later, we had our estimate. We had an estimate from another company that we thought was fair and Jarvis' estimate was a little higher. The only reason for this is that the gutter guards Ted suggested were higher priced but more in line with what we needed. We made the decision to go with Jarvis Exteriors for our project mainly due to Ted's professionalism, the extensive list of references provided, and the fact that Jarvis has received the BBB Complaint Free Award for the past 5+ years. We were were also provided a copy of their State of Illinois Licensed Roofing Contractor license and Certificate of Liability Insurance. I guess many companies assume a client believes they are licensed and insured--I appreciated Ted providing the documentation up front.
Supplies for the project were delivered early the morning of 11/29/12, and our roof was complete by mid-day on 11/30/12. They removed the old TV antenna and two satellite dishes--one of which was attached to the fireplace rather than the roof. The gutters were cleaned out and all the debris from the project was removed. I have yet to find a nail or even one small scrap of shingle since Jarvis left!! The gutter guards were installed and the cedar corner and flashing replaced the following Monday. Ted made an extra trip out on Wednesday to receive our final payment.
We are so pleased with our experience with Jarvis Exteriors and will use and recommend them whole-heartedly in the future.

job was well done from beginning to completion

I have a very complicated large roof with a steep incline, skylight, and numerous peaks and valleys. I requested 4 bids and chose Robert Jarvis as the contractor as Robert's professionalism put all my concerns to rest. Out of all the bids I received, Robert's was the most detailed, and covered every issue that I had concerns about. Robert provided a long list of references and those that I called had nothing but praise for his workmanship. This was a big job and took a little over 2 days to complete, and the work crew obviously had years of experience and worked from dawn to dusk. Being retired I was able to watch the processes as they unfolded, and everything was completed to my exact specifications. Cleanup was performed at the end of each day and a final cleanup inspection was done the day after the roof was completed. A final walking roof inspection was done by Robert a few days later. I am very, very, satisfied with the final result.
