The color matching was perfect.
The ceiling and walls were painted perfectly.
The trim paint was generally very good ... however, there were a few spots that need to be touched up. Also the "cut in" of the painting on the trim could have been a bit more precise.

Jeff was a very professional and responsive contractor to work with.  He was prompt in his responsiveness and was able to get us to the end result we were looking for. 
He is very customer-centric and his number one goal is customer satisfaction.  That was evident in his responsiveness to us.

The painters arrived on time and prepared to work.  I had hired them for 16 hours of painting with the intent of having them paint our nursery and then some doors/trim in our home.  They were very clean workers and did a great job of protecting my flooring and surfaces with drop clothes and tape.  In order to maximize my time with them, I made sure that we prepped as much as possible by sanding/caulking and cleaning all the surfaces we wanted painted.  They did a very nice job on the painting, though you could tell one painter was more experienced than the other and therefore worked faster and had less clean up/touch up needed on the items he worked on.  I will say that this company went above and beyond for us - we had hired them for 16 hours at a flat rate.  The nursery was at the top of our list to finish and the painters started painting the doors downstairs.  I don't think they realized how long it would take to paint a primer coat and 2 coats of paint onto the 3 doors and 2 closets.  So when the end of the day came and both had worked for 8 hrs (16 hrs total), they had spoken with their boss and agreed to come back the next day to finish the nursery since that should have been started first to ensure it was completed and then any doors could have been done with the remaining time.  I think in total, they worked over 20 hours and I very much appreciate the extra mile they went to ensure that our nursery was done.  I know they didn't need to do that and I am so happy to have hired such a great company that was willing to do so.

They were very courteous in setting and confirming the appointment.  The painter showed up as scheduled.  The walls look great.  He cleaned up afterwards.  Would use him again.

They gave a reasonable quote and they did a great job. They arrived on time. They followed through exactly as the manager that came out to give the quote said they would. They were personable and professional.

The gentleman that gave us the quote was the manager and that was ok. The actual workers that came out here did a very sloppy job. I contacted the manager to let him know and he sent the same people back out to fix their work. He didn't even show up to see if I was blowing smoke or if the bad work was legitimate. Even after the second time they came, I had to go back and touch up the paint. You could see the brush strokes and other spots that were not covered.

We needed several rooms (including ceilings, trim, closets, and doors) and our staircase to be painted, and we needed it done quickly.  We scheduled an estimate via email.  Matt gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we scheduled the painting to begin in a week and a half.  Sam, the painter, arrived on time everyday and always put in a full days work.  Best of all, the work was beautifully done!  He made sure we were pleased with his work, and welcomed any questions we had.  We are very pleased with the result.  We feel our money was well spent and highly recommend CertaPro.  

The initial outside painting was done in late fall. Some freezing temps compromised the paint. Repaired the following year at no charge and then again when more problem areas were found. They were good on their guarantee. I don't remember the cost, but used their payment plan for the inside of the house which made the cost easier to pay.

The painted they sent out, I got along with, but he was always very late showing up, would take very long lunches and would leave early. I have a very small house so he didn't have much to paint but it took him a long time. He wasn't capable of moving the furniture by himself; I didn't have much but I had to help him. Overall, he did finish the work and did everything. The work turned out well but it was his demeanor I was not happy with.

For what we paid, I thought they could have done a better job painting. The paint wasn’t quite right because it was too glossy. We went with a certain brand, so it turned out being too shiny. I had them re-do it; instead of removing the electrical outlets and things, they just painted around them. I thought it was sloppy. I wouldn’t go with them again.

It was great. They were very good. They were very professional, clean and courteous.

The owner and I went over in great detail how the job was to be done. The garage doors all needed to be cleaned before painted, because they were chalky. I was explicit that I did not want to see the old paint through the new paint around the trim of the doors, or any kind of roller marks/drips The old paint was chipping and was to be sanded down. The worker power washed the doors and trim. As a result, the trim was damaged from the force of the water. He never sanded the trim prior to any painting. He sanded some areas that I had pointed out to him. In reality, the frames all needed to be sanded because of the damage. Now every time I back into the garage, I'm reminded of the mistakes. I will say that the worker was professional and prompt. Other than the mistakes I've mentioned, the job looks pretty good.

They did a good job and we were very pleased. They were very easy to work with. They were always very punctual, as to when they were going to be here and things like that.

Overall the project went very well.

They came and gave an estimate.  They agreed to everything we wanted and seemed confident.  The crew came out, but they were short of one person as he was unwell.  The crew leader left mid-day.  They got the ceiling started and when I checked in the evening everything was horrible.  Then they had paint on the walls, appliances and everywhere.  I complained to the company and they were supposed to come the next day to speak to my husband, but they cancelled the job as they had some other work.  I tried to reach them, but no one returned my calls.  The owner returned my call later and started yelling at me saying I shouldn’t speak to him, instead speak to the crew chief, but I wasn’t informed about it and I had no number for the same.  I then pulled off the contract and he hung up the phone on me.  The crew then called me back and I informed him the same.  My neighbors saw them drinking on my driveway in the day, which was not a pleasant thing.  Initially they didn’t ask any deposit or anything, and after all this they never came back, too for the money.  Since they destroyed the walls I had to have the walls re-done.

Matt, the owner, came out to estimate the work and spent about 90 minutes with my wife and I.  It was a very thorough review with a lot of good give and take.  Matt made numerous suggestions for things to do (ceilings in a couple of rooms) and not to do (no need to do trim in certain rooms).  We valued that since he was equally willing to say NOT to do work as he was willing to suggest extra work to do. 
After that another team member came out for a color consultation which again was another good give and take with lots of good work (mainly with my wife).  It confirmed some ideas and tossed other out.  At the end of it, we had a good set of colors that we felt confident would work.
One the first day of work, Keith the foreman, and his crew showed up and spent about some time with us going through the job, making suggestions again (very helpful in putting together the order of work) and getting organized.  It paid off because they were able to get started on three areas at once and make significant progress right out of the gate.  Keith and his team were always focused on their work, driving to get task accomplished and COMPLETE and above all were intent on doing a great job.  They were successful on all counts.   I can't say enough about their dedication and skill (even with a German Shepherd in the house who was unsure about new people being in HIS house).  They really went the extra mile!
All in all a very successful project with a great team led by Keith.

Matt Giovenco, the owner of CertaPro Painters of McHenry, came out to our home to walk through the work we wanted to have done.  We were looking to repaint and patch the walls for the two finished rooms in our basement.  Matt asked a lot of good questions and pointed out things we hadn't thought about.  The estimate process was easy and the great thing was that it was free and there was no obligation on our part.

We ultimately selected CertaPro to do the work.  The painter was very prompt, friendly and fast.  The work was completed in less than 2 days and he did a great job.  It looks so clean and crisp.  He cleaned up after himself and he even vaccumed both rooms for me when he was finished.  I don't know many painters that would do that!

I would use CertaPro Painters of McHenry again in a heart beat.  Great job!

Matt and Melissa came out, measured the house and explained the entire process to me.Ryan and Justin arrived on time to powerwash, Ryan (#2) and Dave joined them during the painting process and Dan joined them on the tail-end of the project.

Professional, timely, easy to communicate with, extremely competitive bid and an absolute joy to work with.  Everyone was extremely friendly and took the time to explain things to me as I asked my usual million questions.

Interior:
There was some confusion and the foyer was almost forgotten, but when I called it to their attention, they did the work

Exterior:
This was a challenge as we had been badly ripped off  by the last contractor and there was a lot of cleanup work of scraping, and power washing to be done, as well as the painting of the 2 walls.  I was very pleased that they did a pretty good job getting the paint chips out of the bushes and grass.

For the window trim and doors, we were changing colors from dark burgundy to white (to match the new windows recently installed).  The quality of the primer and paint they chose is fantastic and there is no bleed through!!

I did rate the quality a "B" however because there were several spots / edges that had to be redone.  I give them great credit though because these were cheerfully and neatly redone / touched up as we were doing the walk through.

We wanted to have our 1st floor ceilings painted and the walls and ceilings of the stairwell and 2nd floor hallway. The estimator was professional and friendly. When we decided to award them business, he explained what they would do and how we should prepare. He asked about any concerns we had and any routines which might be impacted by their presence. When the painter arrived, he asked that I remove additional items from the family room walls (were only planning to do the ceiling). I was a little miffed at first that I wasn't told sooner to do this. As we talked more, the painter suggested painting the walls of the family room as well as the 1st floor hallway and foyer. We hadn't planned on what we would eventually do with those walls, but the additional price he quoted was quite appealing and we agreed to the extra work. We're very glad we did so. The painter was cordial and prompt. I was never concerned about his presence in the house. We are very satisfied with the work performed for the price we paid. We will consider them again when it is time to do the bedrooms.
