The van broke down after hours and we live in a different state. Upon arriving home, we did some homework and decided to call Carss Auto the next morning. They coordinated having the van towed, serviced and allowed us to pick it up after hours. The work that they were doing on the van took them past 5 PM and knowing that we were from out of state, they stayed late to finish the work. The work was done and we had picked up the van within 24 hours.
It was a very pleasant experience to have someone that we could rely on when we were surprised with the unanticipated headache.

They've always been affordable, reliable and honest. We always deal with the same guy called Steve and he's great. We will absolutely continue to use them in the future.

It went quite well. better than expected. I called to get a price. After a great lesson about purchasing any tire, a few new options, a little research on my part, I have 4 new tires with a free oil change. I also picked up a new place to take my cars for service. They also pick up and deliver the cars.

If I lived near Crystal Lake, I would probably be bringing my car in here. Very efficient, friendly, and competitive pricing.
Pickd up the car from the dealer and do an inspection. Explained the findings on the inspection and promptly emailed me a
copy of the report.

We found CARSS on Angie's List and were looking for auto service providers who communicated well and performed the job. CARSS exceeded expectations on all fronts. We have had a miss diagnosed (and fixed!), two new tires installed, oxygen sensors replaced and other items done and all were done fast,, correctly and with thought to our budget. We found them to be very open, honest and the communication was excellent. We also found that when Steve would call, he would tell us that the brakes or whatever might need attention in the future but did not recommend spending money now much less try to sell extra jobs to us like other mechanics would typically have done. We really found the honest communication (and updates) helpful and very welcome especially since it was not a hard sell job. We could not say enough about their way of dealing with a customer. As another small business owner, excellent customer service is very much appreciated. We were very impressed and CARRS is now the go to auto service provider for other family members. It is a relief to find a good, honest and competent auto shop and we can recommend them without the slightest hesitation. They are a rare find.

I have used CARSS since moving to Crystal Lake three years ago. Not only are they the most reasonable auto repair shop I have found, their integrity is impeccable. This last trip involved maintenance and I will be going back again in three months to get my front brakes replaced. However they have also replaced squeaky bearings in my AC blowers, tires, worn out window motor, and many oil changes. For the life of me I cannot remember the part, but I was having an issue with my car maintaining power (it would just turn off in mid-drive) and at one point CARSS replaced the part, told me to go home for the weekend to see how it worked and to report back on Monday to see how it worked -- and there was no charge to do that until we actually found the right part!

I have been using them for a year now and their prices are very good. The last time I used them for getting some work done on the camshaft. They don't charge me unnecessarily and are very honest.

I was treated with respect and honesty and they were able to fit me into the schedule that day to fix my car. The bill was much less than had I taken it to the dealer.
