We are a small residential remodel contractor with an extensive background in additions, buil-outs, kitchen and bath remodeling, and decks and exterior trim. I am a 'hands-on' owner, and our crew has been together for several years. In addition, we hold an unlimited Illinois Roofing License, and have experience with multiple roof systems.

Jim was recommended by a family member who knows him personally. I talked to him about what i wanted and it took about two weeks to get quote and it took me calling to get it. I wanted to add work to the original quote but have called three times getting the excuse the jose does the actual quotes and it was hard getting an answer from him. This from the guy who's name is on the company. The last time I spoke to him was friday 5/9 looking for a dollar amount. Jose wanted to look at the roof again maybe this weekend so I'll call you monday he says. So the professionalism gets the F for not returning calls. If the roofing business is very busy, that's great but how do you keep getting work if you blow off the customers when you come recommended by an old friend?

the member is right in that it took me a long time to get back to him. I am sorry for that. The job was a tear off and re-roof on a steep(12/12 pitch) roof cut up with several valleys. the memebrs final change to the estimate was a request that we do the job in phases, allowing him to reside the roof dormers ahead of us. We deliver top quality work at competitive prices, and we can only achieve this by working efficiently. Staging this job more than once would mean either losing money or charging virtually double our normal price. My partner Jose, our roofing authority, and I took the time (too much, it seems) to come up with a proposal that worked for both parties. We would offer to side the dormers ourselves at a well below market price and then roof the entire home in one shot. Unfortunately, this proposal never got to the member, as he gave up on us and chose to publicly express his frustration with us. If you read this, again I am sorry for the delay. It's a valid beef, but I think we could have worked it out

The Caldarella group was extremely professional. They came out and replaced the rotten wood on the exterior of our house and also found the bottom part of the exterior of our chimney was rotten. When they were fixing the chimney they discovered that daylight was coming through. They repaired it and for the first time ever we don't have a cold breeze coming from the fireplace. I am looking forward to being much warmer this winter!! We highly recommend them!!
