We just had our attic and crawl space insulated and a moisture barrier put in. The crew showed up on time and every one of them was polite and professional. We could tell they had a lot of experience working together because they were super organized. While the boss, Dave, walked us through the process in detail, making sure we understood the job, behind him the crew set up quickly and efficiently, treating our home with respect. They were finished right on time, too, and left our house looking as if they had never been there. Before they left, Dave showed us their work and explained how these improvements would make our home more energy efficient. Every crew member made sure to say goodbye to us. They were amazing people! We highly recommend Building Energy Experts.

They did my attic and basement crawl space with insulation last 2014 and now I got mold issues. I had a company come to investigate because I noticed water damaged on my wall. What they found was that Building energy "experts" put insulation in the attic but did not remove the existing insulation on the rafters of the attic and no baffles sealing the attic with no air to breathe and so condensation happened. Now will costs me thousands to fix what they did.

"Sorry to hear you are having issues. Even though we did your project seven (7 ) years ago. We would have appreciated the opportunity to come and take another look at the project. We always stand behind our work and could have helped you correct any of these issues if you had just given us the chance. There are many issues that can cause condensation in an attic. To assume just one is not fair. You have duct work in the attic, maybe in seven years someone knocked some of it loose. Perhaps in seven years your bath fan was changed or disconnected. Your kitchen or other parts of the home could have been remodeled. The soffit vents on the outside could have been blocked or painted over. The issue could have been there even before we worked on your house seven years ago. To blame us after such a long period of time is not reasonable. Bottom line, if you believe it was based on our work you should at least give us a chance to take a look and make it right. Best regards, Building Energy Experts"

It went perfectly. from initial visit for estimate to clean up after work completed. On day of job they arrived early, set up, explained procedures and went to work, It was a 130+yr old house, flat roof with attic height varied from 9in to 29in, but they got to every corner, sealed pipes, air leaks, capped recently installed can lights and packed the attic with insulation, insulated hatch to attic. Amazingly efficient. The walls with voids were insulated. Clean up was perfect. Very knowledgeable, not afraid to discuss with owner and thought on their feet. Can't say enough, Actually, it was an enjoyable experience.

Great job. Anthony is the most knowledgeable person ive spoken to during our renovation. Went well. Showed up to look at the job and provide estimate which was emailed the following day. Discussed my options and provided me a couple different quotes based on those options. Work was scheduled - 2 weeks out - Jason W showed up and explained the process and provided estimate of time and showed me work along the way, which i appreciated. They repaired the drywall and cleaned up - very professional.

It went very well. The communication from the owner was great and I felt like I knew exactly what was going to happen. All of the work was completed in one day. I can definitely notice a difference on the second floor. The temperature on the second floor was always 3 to 4 degrees cooler or warmer depending on the season. Now the temperature has stabilized. The basement is warmer too. My only complaint and why I gave a B on Professionalism is because we had rented a dumpster in order to demo the basement. The workers used the dumpster to dispose of their waste for our project. If asked I would have let them use it anyway but it would have been nice for them to ask permission since I paid $400 for it. Overall, we are satisfied and I would recommend them.

For the estimate and to perform the work they arrived on time.  They were very friendly and professional.  They explained everything thoroughly.  When doing the work laid tarps everywhere to keep the area clean.  Clean up inside when they were completed.  My only reason for giving them good not excellent is because they did not throw their waste in the dumpster.  They bagged everything piled it neatly on the side of my house.  It was a total of 3 large contractor garbage bags.  Then when leaving said it was the owners responsibility to throw it out.  Besides the issue with the trash I would recommend to my neighbors and friends.
