We had previously used them years ago with no issue, so when we hired them to do our bathroom remodel, we were shocked to deal with them. After several attempts to level our floor, without success, Rich pulled out of the job, without warning or consultation, leaving us to hire another contractor to finish the poor work he did not do correctly. He laid our tile on top of an improperly installed subfloor.  After we called out the poor quality of tile work, he elected to dig it up, on his own accord, and purchase us replacement tile to lay again (we paid for the original material ourselves, which he couldn't lay correctly).  After he packed up his truck one day without warning and leaving the entire bathroom unfinished, he then returned the tile to the store and kept the money, after he damaged our tile. I am taking the time to write everything I can on the internet to warn people. Please, do yourself a favor and do not use this company.  We did hire a wonderful contractor to finish our work.  He had to dig up the subfloor and relay everything, as well as correct many other poor quality things.  A&R Home Services is totally unprofessional, and does not take care of their customers, much less the quality of work is terrible.  It would be wise to hire another company and not even chance a problem with this company.

Rich's crew did a good job of tearing out the old tile and putting in new tile in the shower area and on the floor. The laying of the tile was very professional looking and we are quite satisfied with it. However, about two weeks after the job was finished, we found two leaks in the shower caulking and tile which ended up causing water damage on our downstairs kitchen ceiling. It took many, many phone calls to Rich to get him to come back and find the leaks and fix them. We had to threaten legal action after 2 months to even get him to come back to our house for an inspection of the damage. Unfortunately, Rich was going through some personal issues during this time so part of the situation was beyond his control but the whole situation was not handled very professionally by him regardless of the circumstances.

WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE DOOR REPLACEMENT. IN OTHER AREAS, THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS ONLY FAIR, WE HAD TO ASK FOR SEVERAL CHANGES/CORRECTIONS, AND THEY BROKE (AND DID NOT FIX) A HINGED DOOR LEADING TO OUR ATTIC (WHICH WAS WEAK BUT QUITE USEABLE PRIOR). TIME ESTIMATES FOR WORK WERE UNDERESTIMATED.
