I am a call ahead, they call the night before they come.  The guy came, left a sign in my yard, and a bill on the door.  The only thing is sometimes if its to windy or rainy they don't come. But, they do call and let you know again.

This company is neither reliable nor honest. I paid $377 in full in advance for 7 applications and spring core aeration in February 2009. Every time when work was done, they left a note on my door handle stating what they did. But, they did not perform spring core aeration or left a note about it. When I checked the lawn in the afternoon when aeration was scheduled, there was no sign of any work: no holes in the ground. I know how it looks like when aeration is done from prior experience. When the company called me to notify another treatment, I complained about it. John said sorry and he would make a note of it and do aeration in fall. However, aeration was never done. Since I didn't know that I should call them to stop services for a new year, they came and did the first treatment in March and sent me a bill, which was 11% higher than 2009. I called the company and talked about the missed aeration and requested to send me a refund for the difference ($21) between the missed aeration ($70) and the new treatment they did this spring ($49). The lady who answered the phone said she would ask John about it and call me later. They never called me or sent me the refund. Instead, they sent me a bill for $49 again saying I was 31 to 60 days late even though they owe me $21 plus interest for a year. Of course, I switched to another company and would NOT recommend Lawn Works of Joliet to others.

I have been using Lawnworks for 5 years now and am very impressed with their services. I have used them, ever since I had my house built, and they have taken good care of my lawn. I have minimal weed problems and the grass is very green and healthy (when I water it!). John and the people who work for him, are very responsive to any problems I have. They always call in advance, to tell me when they are coming out for a treatment. They are very courteous on the phone and always return phone calls either that day or the next.
