"This Job was completed on Sept. 6, 2011, not May 1,2011. The Contracted price was $1350.00, not $3500.00. The contract was to remove roofing on detached garage. Our contracts clearly state that any deteriorated or rotting wood is in addition to base bid price. Upon removal of shingles our crew found approximately 160 ft of deteriorated and cracked 1x deck boards. I contacted [member name removed] at this time to inform her of the damaged deck boards. Her reply was to do what is necessary. [Member name removed] is of very sound health and mind for her age. We did not try to change pricing on anything, but only to inform of extra cost involved. The total wood replacement labor and material was $680.00, which all of the wood replaced could be seen from inside the garage, as it did not have a ceiling. Upon meeting [member name removed] to collect, her son [name removed] was at the home with the same attitude as he expresses in this review, which of course escalated into to an argument, as no one would appreciate being falsely accused of trying to take advantage of someone. To save sake of argument, I offered to split the cost of the wood replacement at $340.00, which [son] agree to. I am most disappointed in the comment [son] made about the workers comments, as this job was completed by our Hispanic crew. That comment alone validates who/how [son] is. Unless Dale can speak fluent Spanish."
