Great, the tech identified the issue within 10 minutes and had the part within his inventory onsite. Not only did he replace a compressor but also performed a maintenance check, cleaned the unit and provided me with some insight regarding another issue I have.

He came in at 1:00 am and was doneby 3:00 pm. Did a great job.

Dave from Aire Serv of Edwardsville came to my house on the weekend to evaluate the existing a/c, furnace, duct work, cold air returns, and perform an evaluation of the heat loss to determine the correct size of unit needed for my house. He provided several options for me to choose from, and his personal knowledge and vast experience with the types and efficiencies of systems. After providing him my option selections he in-turn provided me a turn-key cost estimate the following morning. After receiving quotes from other a/c & heating companies in the surrounding area I chose to purchase a Lennox system from Aire Serv of Edwardsville and contacted Dave. Due to the time of season with an exceptionally hot September it took 3 days for Aire Serv to arrive at the house to remove the old system, and early the next morning (a 93-degrees Saturday) Dave was back to install the new system. By the end of the afternoon he had the system installed and operating, and insisted on returning in a day to fine-tune the system and ensure that it was operating at optimum performance. He took time to show myself and my wife how to operate the programmable Lennox touch-screen thermostat, and left us with all the a/c, furnace, and thermostat owners manuals and installation instructions. Air Serv of Edwardsville provided extra filters to change when the time period arrives, and provided 2 inspection and cleaning services for the seasonal changes over the next 12 months. Dave and his Aire Serv installation assistant were professional, wore their Aire Serv uniform proudly, meticulously cleaned-up the work site before leaving, and left me with great confidence that I could call them with any question and in return receive a prompt reply with an honest and accurate answer. Bottom Line - very profession, honest, reasonably priced reliable and dependable Lennox a/c and heating system and service, and a very good warranty on parts and service. There were no hidden or extra costs incurred. Aire Serv of Edwardsville kept true to the quoted estimate and professional service provided.

Talk about great customer service. It  ended up that the service part he replaced was missing a piece. Since the old one on furnace was also missing this piece it didn't fix it. Tech went and got another part which had all the pieces, problem solved!
