It was terrible. We would tell him what we wanted but he would change it and tell us he could not return materials or he would get in trouble. He would not give us a refund on tile and when we asked for a receipt, he would give us a computer print out instead, He said he was a plumber and electrician but we found he is not licensed in either of these areas. He even told us we did not need a permit because we were in a town home for 55 and older and we believed him. Many things including flooring were done wrong and he kept doing things the way he wanted in spite of our requests. About 8 months later we had a major fire in our home that came from the fireplace. We suffered over $100,000 in damages. Fire commissions did an inspection and found the fireplace was not built correctly which caused the fire. There were problems with the door and the flu. It was not insulated properly either. Our insurance and fire department contacted James P Construction. He initially called us and said he was sorry this happened and it had never happened before. Later he came out with the fire department, Allstate and inspector and he changed his tune. When they asked him questions, he would lie about what he had done and on several occasions told us to shut up. We would never use this company again.
