PLS Remodeling

PLS did an amazing job at my home. I needed a lot of work done: handyman services, painting my entire house, remodeling my kitchen, and bathroom. Sam was very respectful and gave me the best price out of the other bids I got. The painting and colors were perfect, I love it! Sam put in a new countertops, cabinets, and backsplash in the kitchen. It looks amazing! He did a lot of the electrical work and plumbing too. Bathroom now has a new tub and sink. I am so Happy with the outcome. I would definitely refer Sam to my friends and family.

Sam does beautiful work! We own an older home, which presents many challenges, but Sam’s knowledge and craftsmanship solved each problem -and he even kept the cost down! He transformed our bathroom, it’s stunning! Sam was so amazing, he offered constant advice on projects I was completing on my own. He even took the time to find an electrician for our basement sump pump, and helped me negotiate a lower price for the company putting drain pipe in the basement. I highly recommend Sam. He does amazing work, is very reasonable, and trustworthy!

Sam was punctual, stayed on task, completed the service a few days earlier than anticipated. Sam gave decorating ideas, which helped us make informed decisions of the remodeling. Sam was upfront on the cost of the job, which helped us with our budgeting for the project. Communication is key in building relationships. We are very pleased with the results. A job well done. No doubt, we will be calling Sam with other projects in the future.

Sam was great. I got on the schedule quick. It took 2+ days to complete which was half the time others were offering. After removing the tub, there was some repair work to the floor that was needed, which he did. It has been 6 weeks, and the new tub is holding up nicely.

We recently purchased this home and unfortunately the kitchen cabinets were built around the early 1990's appliances.  Long story short, even after measuring twice, the new appliances didn't fit as well as we had thought they would.
Enter Sam with PLS Remodeling.
I came on here and saw how highly rated and recommended Sam came.  I reached out, and within a day he came out and gave us an estimate and went over some options.  Later that week, our fridge was delivered and Sam came back and custom made faux cabinets for us out of the paneling from the old built in fridge.  He custom cut the double in-wall cabinet as well to make that fit.
Our kitchen is finally done and we could not have done it without Sam.

Sam is one of the best contractors we ever hired. He is very knowledgeable about framing and gave us the most competitive price among all bids we got. He completed all the work with good quality on time and cleaned up well. We bought a fix it up home at the time and ended up being our own general contractor. Among all sort of contractors we talked to and hired, Sam gave us the best experience. There is no delays, no back and forth arguing. When additional joints are discovered unstable, he gave us a very reasonable price to fix. We really appreciate the smooth process working with him during one of the most chaotic times we ever had. We're very satisfied with the results.  Skim coating old walls will never look perfectly smooth - you need to rip it out and put in new drywall if you want that - but it looks wayyy better than it did before and unless I point out the odd spots nobody has noticed them.  The job took a day longer than he estimated and I was in a hurry to move in so he agreed to bring in a partner one day to help (for an extra fee).  I appreciated the quality of work and his flexibility to get the job done in time for me to move in.  He also didn't mind me working along side him to speed the job up so I could move in on time.  Good on work quality, flexibility, and character.  I would recommend and plan to hire him again when I remodel my bathroom.

We needed a carpenter to put up the crown molding in our kitchen. We found PLS Remodeling on Angie's List.  Sam was wonderful and the work he did was top notch.  We highly recommend Sam!!

Sam did a great job. We were a bit disappointed because during demolition there could have been more care taken to block off the area to prevent dust, but that stuff is pervasive, not sure he could have done much more. Also, Sam recommended we call a custom shower installer to fix our leak, as we likely need a new shower door. The drywall and paint look great. It took a bit longer to complete than we had hoped, but I think that was a result of Sam coming back a couple extra times to do the mudding, it needed more layers than originally thought. We would definitely ask him to come back to do any drywall work we would need done.

It went well.

They came. We have a very uneven basement floor. We can see it even it's carpeted. We never realized just how bad it was until after the flood. They did absolutely great drywall work. It was a good price.

Sam was very responsive and worked me into schedule to view project, get me estimate and get work done quickly, as I needed.  (All that done within one week.)  Had couple other contractors over the years tell me this project could not be done or would be very difficult and Sam got it done.  He had to create custom door casing himself  because of unique issues he found in my house after opening up wall and did it beautifully.  Very careful to clean up after himself and protect my house during work.  Very meticulous work, kept me up to date every step of way, and I am thrilled with end result!  Would highly recommend.

PLS was not the lowest bidder on the job, but something about Sam the owner made me want to give him the job.  THe work was quality, although I was not exactly happy with the doors and shelving finishes.  But if anyone has ever tried to stain/varnish differing woods to match, you go into the job knowing that you may not get exactly what you wanted.  But he came as close as possible.  Was quick clean and efficient in what he did.
After my tenants moved in, of course they found (and are finding) a host of minor issues, and we are using PLS to handle them.
They will be replacing 2 bathroom vanities, repairing some tile that is coming off the walls due to water damage from our previous tenants (did I mention how much I dislike them?), installing a new dishwasher, replacing a damaged door (Mostly age damage, but still....),and repairing some plumbing issues i the kitchen. Just waiting on the quote from them now.

Sam completed all work that was requested and did an excellent job. He finished the work within the time frame specified at the beginning of the engagement. Work was completed for less than originally budgeted.
