 + 0 moreWent very well, we knew it would take 5-6 hours of work. They got it Wednesday morning, called that afternoon, they said they wanted to keep overnight, finish work and test drive (to check for leaks, etc I'm assuming). They told me this would probably happen when they quoted me so we already knew that would be a possibility. Called the next day and they were just finishing the final test drive. Everything worked smooth and the bill was exactly what was quoted. They had previously replaced an O2 sensor on the same vehicle earlier this year and that went well also. Very pleased with quality of work. Glad they didn't try to "upsell" a bunch of other services. Nice folks to deal with!
Description of Work: Subaru Forester 105K mile maintenance - a major maintenance time. Replaced Timing Belt, 2 Drive Belts, Crank Seal, Cam Seal, Water Pump, Thermostat, Tensioner, Idlers and Fuel Filter. Also inspect/replace all fluid-bearing hoses that looked suspect and inspect drive shaft/CV boots. Had a Subaru dealer give a quote on the same replacement (except fuel filter) and they quoted about $50 more. Since they are 25 minutes away and would require several hours of work, chose to use local shop (Beau's) to do the work.
