Dr. Miller was recommended to me from an employee at the Animal Emergency and Treatment Center in Chicago. My smaller dog went through a major surgery and Dr. Miller became the primary care physician for him. From the first visit with my sick dog I knew immediately she cared deeply about the animals in her care. She is not a doctor that will rush through your appointment to get to the next appointment. She takes the necessary time to ask the proper questions and allows you the time to ask the questions you seek. On one occasion I had scheduled my dog to have his teeth cleaned. I asked Dr. Miller if I could stay with him until they were ready for him because he was a little nervous when visiting them. Dr. Striker was present on the day of the cleaning and she and the staff were very patient with my dog. They prep him and gave him some medication to relax him. It took approximately 30 minutes for him to settle down and then they took him in for his teeth cleaning. The cleaning went very well and my dog had a rather uneventful morning at the vet which is what I wanted. She and the staff are great with my dogs and I feel comfortable leaving my animals in their care.

Dr Dory and her technician Ashley visited us at our home yesterday. I had been recommended to Your Pets Wellness by another vet as our 13 year old cat, Luna, completely freaks out when we take her anywhere outside the house, which raises her blood pressure and gives the vet an inaccurate picture of her health.
The service provided was absolutely fantastic. Dr. Dory let Luna get used to her, made sure to get the most stressful test out of the way first (blood pressure test) and then examined Luna. The results really speak for themselves, Luna was normal on blood pressure and healthy everywhere else. We had a nice chat on my couch about possible meds moving forward, and then they were done.
They listened to my concerns during the exam, didn't waste a minute of my time and even sent me a lengthy followup email based on some questions I had. Luna could not have been better taken care of, and in the comfort of her own home. I'll definitely have them back in the future.

I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Miller and Your Pets Wellness (see my yelp revue). A friend of mine raved about her, and she has exceeded my highest expectations. A much appreciated referral got me there, and my continued trust that she will always do what is in my pet's best interest keeps me coming back. She is my vet for 3 cats, and has seen them at both her office and at my home. Yes, she makes house calls, a service that all pet owners might need at some time, but cat owners most especially. Every exam was conducted with the cat’s comfort in mind. The home visit was very comprehensive as she brings all the tools of her trade with her. Issues were explained, questions answered, and follow up typically includes internet links for even more info. She and her staff are knowledgeable, compassionate, and affordable for the service that they provide. She has advised me on everything from food and supplements, to litter boxes and toys. Her diet recommendations have given my 15 year old cat a new lease on life, info I never got from other vets. Her compassion for this little stray I found is obvious, but I know she was also concerned that my own cats might catch one of the myriad ills that strays carry. Dr Miller is young, energetic, and passionate about her profession. She offers healing beyond pills and procedures, a special ingredient called caring which she dispenses generously to her patients and their humans alike.

They were wonderful. They were really caring and concerned about my dog. They have called me a few times to check in on him. Having them come to my home was so much easier on me and my sick dog. They have very reasonable prices.

Dr. Miller was excellent. She was very caring, and yet efficient. She explained all she was doing and was very professional. She came on very short notice and was able to effectivly capture my cat who does not normally abide strangers, Dr. Miller's examination of my cat was thorough and her explanation of my options was excellent. When we decided that euthanization was best, she set up for and carried out the euthanization process professionally, but at the same time offering us whatever time we needed. The price for this was quite dear for me, but when you consider the home visit, the capture and sedation of the cat, the examination and then the euthanization process, it was really quite reasonable. Dr. Miller was very caring about my needs and those of my cat. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
