WOW! Internet, Cable and Phone

We had some remodeling done and had to have a temporary line set up. I have spoken to 3 people since 8-15 and could not set up an appointment to get the cable buried and the line put in the house. It is on our back porch now. The second person I spoke to on 8-15 scheduled an appointment for us on 8-19, but they never showed. We did get a conformation call the previous day. When I phoned to find out what,happened I was connected to a combative woman who could only tell me why they could'nt send someone out. I could not for the life of me get an appoitment to have a service person out. I was told it would be about 3 weeks. This was the second person who would not give me a day or time. I don't know who writes the script she seemed to be referring to every time I asked a question, but after she told me she was "shocked" how I was speaking to her after I asked if I was to quit my job and wait for someone to show up, I had to hang up. When we first changed to Wow 4 years ago the first person told me we could not keep our same phone#. I called again and the next person assuredd me that we could keep it. I have found their reps go by their own rules. I called AT&T, my new price is 44.95 (before taxes and other mandetory charges) and they can be here tomorrow. They are also waiving installation fees.

It's wowway.net. My husband is the computer guy and when he calls them they listen to him. They figure out the problem and he really likes their service. I never have a problem and when I do, they fix it right away. We pay for the high speed. Their email seems to cause troubles, I don't even go on their email. I get a bug on my computer whenever I go on their email. If I do it at my job, I'm fine, my job has firewalls. Something about their email is bad. I use their internet and telephone service. They tried to fix the email, but it doesn't work. Their pricing is a little high, probably because we are in Chicago. I haven't compared them to anyone else. My husband deals with them and he hasn't said anything.
