Vintage Flooring Company

After damage from flooding in July, we needed to replace our flooring. In mid-July 2023, we found Vintge Flooring. The communication and price was attracting at Vintage, but the hardwood floor we went with had the option of glue down or floating. Vintage told us floating would be the best, while others told us different things all together. We believed them and went with their reccomendation. Well, they did absolutely no prep to the subfloor (in this case concrete floor), and after a day of installing, the floor was extremely uneven and lumpy, and almost felt like bouncy, since they didn't do any prep work. Well, they insisted it was fine, completely discarding what I said to them that it's unacceptable. They figured when they installed the baseboards it would get better- it did not at all. The bounce was so terrible that you could see the entire floor moving each time you took a step. We had people over and every single one of them commented how awful the floor felt and they didn't feel safe. We ripped it out and discovered they used the carboard boxes that the flooring came in to try and level the floor without any additional work. The owner, Jayson, has ignored emails after the fact, we had documented our complaint that he continues to ignore. We are looking for restitution for the installation work only, not the cost of flooring. We spent $3000 on garbage installation. Another Chicago business scammer.

My partner and I recently purchased our first home which was a fixer-upper. Within a day of getting in contact with Vintage Flooring they came to give us an estimate to refinish all of our hardwood floors. The price was perfect and they did more than any other company was willing to do without astronomically up charging us (refinishing banister, repairing parts of the floor). They came out within 3-4 days after the quote to start on the floors. The process took a total of 4 days! Ours went smoother than typical homes since we were not living in the home yet. Our floors are picture perfect. Highly recommend Vintage Flooring!

From the bid and the final walkthrough, we had a GREAT experience with Vintage. Very informative estimate process and follow-up. Incredibly fair quote and the installation was sooner than anticipated. The work was amazing and we could not be more pleased with the final outcome. We had two colors or wood and the sending was perfect so you could never tell with the newly stained dark walnut. We highly recommend Vintage Flooring Company!

I don't review often, however I felt compelled to share what a wonderful and professional job Vintage Flooring Company did with the installation of new engineered hardwood flooring in my condo. Everyone in the company is professional, from start to finish. The job was completed AHEAD of schedule (how often does that happen?) with no detail overlooked or compromised - and very reasonably priced. My floors look amazing and I couldn't be happier with my experience! These guys are the best.

We had a great experience working with the company to refinish our wood floors and also paint our condo. We are very pleased with the work and happy we worked with them. They did an amazing job and were very detailed in their work as well as completed in the amount of time they advised. I would definitely recommend them in the future. Jayson is very communicative which is a huge bonus when trying to renovate a home and you have several different projects and workers that need to get the work on the house done in a timely manner and in a certain order. He is efficient, so knowledgeable, super fair in pricing, and his team is AMAZING. They got the job done of refinishing our floors in our whole house in one day. ONE DAY!!! I have recommended him to all my friends and family for their flooring needs. I would never use another company for any future flooring needs we may have.

The 2 young men who came to our home to do the work, were very respectful of us and of our home. It was obvious that they liked what they were doing and took pride in their work. After 50 years of children, pets, toys, and shoes on the hard wood floors and stairs they were in great need of a face lift. When they finished the work it looked as if we had just had a new hard wood floor installed. We are so very happed with the work that these 2 young men did, and feel the price was well worth the job that was done. We highly recommend Vintage Flooring.

Vintage Flooring Company repaired my squeaky floors. They replaced the subfloor and installed red oak in two bedrooms, a living room, den and hallway. The work was near perfect. The crew was very professional and worked expeditiously. Jason and Nate were available throughout the process and were very knowledgeable and helpful with picking a stain, baseboard and quarter round. Their estimate was significantly less than other companies and they offered more services(baseboard, quarter round installation). Thank you so much VINTAGE FLOORING COMPANY!!

These guys are professionals. They did a exemplary job on replacement of 1200 ft of wooden flooring in a 140 year old historic home in Elgin. Their price was fair and competitive. Their quality of work was exemplary. This is a no Brainerd. Hire them. You will not regret it
