Under One Roof Causes Us to Miss Our Closing! They didn't estimate the job correctly, they sent one small truck and 3 guys. The guy's were great. Mistakes happen but our contact at the company proceeded to blame us for their mistake. They refused to send additional resources to make sure we got out of the house before Closing. They knew we were going to miss our closing and still did nothing to remedy the situation. They never even called us after the initial move to see what they could do to help. This costs us hundreds of additional dollars to hire another set of movers and "buy" more time back from the buyers to get out of the house. Under One Roof Moving is the textbook example of how to NOT take care of any customer.

The WORST moving experience ever!!! If I could give them zero stars, I would. DO NOT USE. The owner of the company, Tony, constantly called me to check up on the movers, and when he realized they weren't going as fast as he wanted them to, he told me that he had another job at 2pm and that this needed to be done ASAP. Like it's my fault that your movers were 30 minutes late and that you scheduled back to back moves?! He also got mad when I told him parking at my old place in Lakeview was limited. Has he even been to Lakeview? PARKING IS LIMITED. That's nothing new, and a moving company in the city should know that. Then the movers couldn't get their excessively long 24 foot truck into the alley and loading dock at my new place, even though 26 foot trucks go into that loading dock regularly. Tony then calls me to tell me his movers are livid and that he's just going to have to take my stuff back to my old place and come back the next day with a smaller truck. WHO SAYS THAT??? He yelled at me while I tried to go find the owner of a truck that the movers thought was in their way, even though the garbage truck (which is a much wider truck) was able to get by this other truck just fine. I'm sobbing during all of this and getting berated for a driver's inexperience. Moving is stressful enough, and getting yelled at by the owner of the moving company was HIGHLY UNCALLED FOR. The movers also made snide comments like "We have to walk your stuff all the way down there?" when they realized the loading dock was a ways from the entrance. Not only that, but my TV stand fell over, and I have STILL NOT RECEIVED A PHONE CALL ABOUT MY LIABILITY INSURANCE AND COVERAGE FOR THE DAMAGE. I want to be very clear here and say that the movers were NOT THE PROBLEM. TONY IS THE PROBLEM. The movers did the best they could, and I could see their frustration from a micromanaging boss who thinks it's okay to berate his own employees and the people paying him for their work. !!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!!

It was very easy working with this company. I just send the photos of what I need to be moved and Tony gave me an estimate. Also, what I really liked was that they charged me after delivery via card. Other companies that I checked had complicated procedures like they would take a cash deposit and/or won't take credit cards and so on. The move itself was simple. The movers came at the time they told me, wore masks, and were very professional. This move was charged by the hour and the movers did not waste a single minute. They even reached our new house before we did. I would highly recommend under-one-roof.

The team from Under One Roof did a great job. They called ahead and arrived on time. I felt like all of our furniture was handled very carefully and protective wrap was used wherever necessary. Final pricing was consistent with the original estimate. Overall we are very happy.

I was out of town and COVID-19 restricted travel when our condo was sold and closed. I had to get it packed and moved out of state. Tony worked with me through text and phone calls to figure it all out and to ensure everything went well. My sister was there on move day and she said they were careful and fast. The lead mover was so helpful - he even texted me images of the packed container just in case there were any problems with damage during shipping. I didn't get to open the PODS container for about 2-3 weeks after it was sent; when I did, nothing in the container had moved, all the wood was well protected, as well as all the breakable items such as dishes. Tony emailed me the key to the PODS and I received it quickly. My only constructive feedback is related to email. I had to coordinate with the Realtor, my sister, the movers and the PODS folks and email was the only method to include everyone. It could be that the emails went into a SPAM filter, but none of those emails were replied to. That meant they didn't know some information that would have helped everyone.

It was great! We needed to move during covid-19 and they showed up with gloves and masks and we extremely safe. They are also very fast but cautious. They were nice and took great care of our stuff. Hire them for your next move! Also these people are doing an essential service so tip tip tip!

Excellent and hard working employees, they were polite, fast, neat, strong, everything you want your movers to be. Absolutely recommend!

GREAT experience. Under One Roof recently helped me move into my new house. On the business end, everybody that I worked with was well organized, friendly, honest, and accommodating. Communication was excellent- when the guys were running just a few minutes late, I was contacted immediately by the office. The guys who came out to move us were also outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. I felt completely comfortable letting them do their thing while kept myself busy taking care of other household items. They took great care of our belongings and were careful of our new house as well. I would highly recommend Under One Roof to anybody who is making a move of any kind.

Billy, Ladron, and Laray were efficient and friendly. They got the job done quicker than even their minimum estimate, so I paid less than expected.

It was a very simple move and we were well prepared but they were very fast.

I had a really great experience with Under One Roof, from the very helpful and patient person I spoke to on the phone and his colleague who I corresponded with over email to get an estimate, to the movers themselves. The two movers, Billy and Allen, were extremely communicative about their timeline for my move when they were en route both to start my move and when travelling to our destination. They made quick work of loading and unloading and got creative with narrow staircases. I was impressed that they treated even my hand-me-down student furniture like it was worth thousands of dollars. Overall found it to be great value and would definitely use them again!

It went very well. At the pick up location, security said they did not know they were coming. The driver went in and talked with security, and I called, and we worked together to get it straighten out. Driver and helper were very nice, they did a great job at both ends of the trip.

This was our first time using Under One Roof. Move occurred 04/06 and went so smoothly. I had given a full list to Tony to explain what we were moving. I had packed my place very well in order to gain time and facilitate the movers work. They were 4 individuals associates. Nate was the associate in charge. I met the team and explain them the way I had packed and to be careful of our floors and walls. They did an amazing job, went fast and our move was complete in 3 hours and 15 min. All the associates were very courteous, professional and worked well all together. The move in to the new place went as well as the move out without any issue. We were very pleased and will definitely re-use them again.

Tony and his team were great. I didn't have time to box everything up and they helped me box last minute items and carefully pack and move everything to my new apartment. Everyone was friendly and professional and the move went smoothly and quickly. Highly recommended.

Tony and Michelle make it very easy to set up the move and were quick to answer any questions I had. The moving crew was very friendly and careful with all of my belongings. Everything arrived safe and with no damages. Anything valuable was protected and packaged with care. All of the materials were included for packing with the hourly price so there was no surprises with payment and nothing cost extra and the end of the move.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Tony and Under One Roof. Upon inquiring with Tony about how quickly he could have his workers out he was promptly helpful and very clear with everything from how many people he would need to send to how long they would need the truck and what any transportation charges would be. I informed him I had already packed myself up but he did mention that was a service they offer as well and if I know Tony, I know he is an excellent packer. From the minute his team arrived they set to work and quickly had everything loaded up and secured. We were done with the move in a little under three hours total and I paid his team on the spot, and looked around my new place, happy to not have to worry about a thing any longer. Tony made my move bearable and easy. Hire them, you won't regret it.

I give them four stars out of five, they were a little slow.  The service was great, it’s just a little slow.  It took five hours and I think it should have taken three and a half hours to pack.
