The job did not go well at all; however, the sales people were very professional. They explained as much as I wanted to know and sold me what I asked for. The major problem with this company is the installers. The first day they showed up hours late at 4:PM+ on a Saturday. They put in 5 of the six windows and then said it was too late and asked if they could store the rest of the windows in my garage. I said no for fear that one would get broken before they came back to install. One of the five windows that they did install that day was supposed to be frosted, but it wasn't. I caught the mistake after they had installed a clear window over my tub. They decided to leave the new clear window in until the frosted one came, which was fine by me. When they were leaving on that first day the foreman said they had cleaned everything up and were leaving. I looked outside and saw several pieces of trash in my front garden, trash from the install. I pointed it out and the foreman looked embarrassed, picked it up and then left. After a week I still had not received a call from the company so I called them. The woman I spoke to said it was my fault that they messed up the window order because I had added a second bathroom window to my order the day after the salesman had been at my house. I reminded her that I had been very specific about which window was supposed to be frosted and which one not, but still she insisted that it was my fault. Ok...whatever. I didn't care whose fault it was, I just wanted the right windows in each of my bathrooms. Chalk that up to a lack of professionalism. The second time the installers came they brought a "frosted" window, but one of the panes was broken, so they just installed the pane that wasn't broken. They also installed the other clear bathroom window, the garden window, and the patio door. I walked outside to see how the garden window install was going. The installer was fitting a piece of white plastic around the old, dryrotted supports that used to hold up the old garden window under the new window!! I asked the guy what he was doing and he said that it would be fine like that because of the plastic surrounding the wood. I told the guy that I had paid for a new window and I wanted a complete new window, supports and all. He obliged and rebuilt the supports with new pressure treated wood. Thank goodness I went out to check! On the inside of the kitcken, where the garden window is located, they took a face plate off a switch pannel that is partially hidden under the moulding around the window. When they were done, they put the moulding back on without the face plate (and left). I had to get a friend to fix it. They also completely destroyed the drywall above the window to the point where professional painters couldn't even fix it properly and now, evan after being puttied, sneded, and painted, it still looks lumpy. Finally, the quality of the windows. Not good. I bought windows that passed the EPA standards. But there are pieces of plastic dangling off them missing pieces of felt in them. And when the installers chiseled out the holes to put them in, I think they may have made the holes too big and then not completely backfilled with adhesive, because I can feel air pushing through them on windy days. Oh, and my frosteed bathroom window is not frosted. It is tempered glass that has a slight wavy mottled pattern to it. If you stand in front of it, anyone on the outside can see everything. Not good for the window over the tub.
