This company has to be a SCAM! They came to my home, assessed the appliance and that was it. I did not recieve any information about what's required to repair the unit. I've called multiple times and no response. It's 3 days later and still do not have a report of any kind. I will certainly dispute the charge to my credit card that they were sure to collect in advance.

Great service! Once again, the king was prompt, professional, and both assessed and fixed the problem quickly and directly. The best large appliance service repair I've ever had.

I own several apartment buildings and have used Appliance King many times. One of my tenants said his oven was not lighting. Their service technician just came out and said that he could replace the lighter which would cost $225.00. However Steve recommended that based on the age and condition of the oven I should buy a new one instead of having him repair it. He made less money on the service call but he gave me good advice. A new oven will cost me $692.00. It was a better use of my money and I really appreciate his honesty.

It went very well. He explained every step.  Also gave tips on other maintenance issues.  We would use them again.

The competitor couldn't come to fix our broken freezer for a week. Appliance King came the next day. They said to plan for an arrival around 1 p.m. and honest to goodness, the clock hit 1 and the doorbell rang.
The tech walked in, looked it over and pinned the problem down to one of two failures within five minutes. He had both parts on the truck but further diagnosed it all to learn the less expensive part would do the trick.
An hour later he was walking out the door and I had a working freezer.
Doesn't really get any better than that.

On January 25th 2013 (invoice 1067 for $348) and February 1st (invoice 1086 for $120), Chris King from Appliance King repaired a faulty ignition in our oven and a faulty spark module and faulty burner switches in our stove. After the repair, he could not put the stove back into its original position after several attempts, leaving it out of balance and resting on a pipe, and also left some scratch marks on our newer quartz kitchen counter.
In addition, the rings around the stove dials were not secured in place and were no longer flush. When we asked Appliance King to fix these issues, Chris said the placement of the oven unit was as good as it would get and told us he could not put it back in the position where it was.
About the wobbly rings around the dials, he said he fixed them when he came back upon our request, and they looked flush at that time, but we found that what he did was not fixing but just a trick by removing the front panel and lifted it so it looked like rings were flush, but when the panel was pushed back to the proper place, the rings were sticking out again and wobbly. He also misplaced the screws that were holding the panel, which we later found burned in the oven.
Since Appliance King could not fix the problems they created, we had to hire another company,  to fix these issues. According to the technician, those problems were something basic not being done correctly, and on 5/31/2013, the technician successfully reassembled the controls that Appliance King misaligned and reinstalled the unit in its proper position prior to the Appliance King service visit.
Soon after we had the technician fixing the problem, we talked to Chris and informed him how much we had to pay for the ABT service. He told us that he would call us back, but he never did.
Since then, we've been contacting Appliance King to reimburse us the $149 we had to spend to fix the problems caused by them. On August 7th, we mailed them a copy of the receipt, and talked to the customer service lady several times, but Chris has been ignoring them and wouldn't get back to us.

Pros:  The repairman was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional and he worked very quickly.

Cons:  (1) He had to come back on a second day because he did not have the correct part with him on the first visit and had to get it from a local supplier.  (2) They charged $89 for the service call in addition to charging for parts and labor.  (To be fair, they did tell me about the $89 fee up front, but I had assumed it was their minimum fee.  It is not--it is in ADDITION to the other charges.)  This simple, 15-minute repair ended up costing a total of $209, which is more than a third of the original cost of the oven.   (The charge for the new heating element itself was $60.  I believe Walmart sells it for $12.99.)  I had expected the total charges to be closer to $150.

Came within the alotted time. Friendly and professional. Explained exactly what he was doing and what else may be wrong. Explained why needed to change the part and showed why it was not working. Offered advice about preventing future problems through preventive maintenance. Worked quickly. Great experience. Would call again.

The tech came in and accessed the problem quickly.  He had to order the part and come back to do the repair the next week.  He was timely and worked quickly.  Before he left he gave me some good tips concerning the care of my washer and dryer.  Overall it was a quick and painless process and I got the use of my washing machine back.

They did an excellent job of fixing my oven.  Even though it took longer than anticipated and needed a couple extra parts that were not planned for they did not add any upcharges.  Overall I was extremely satisfied with the work performed and would highly recommend them!

The washing machine agitator didn't turn on after the tub filled with water. The technician repaired the agitator and the machine is working fine now.
I own two apartment buildings and this is the third time I've used Appliance King in the last six months. They always have a technician come out in a day or two. The repairmen show up at the appointed time, find the problem and fix it without having to come back. If the appliance is old they'll tell me if it's better to buy a new one instead of wasting money on repairs. I appreciate their honesty and I know I can depend on them..

After opening the dishwasher, the serviceman confirmed that the dishwasher was not receiving power.  He was convinced that the switch under the sink was broken.  He insisted that I replace it, and if that didn't work, there was a serious wiring issue and I needed an electrician.  I replaced the switch, and it still did not work.  $137 later, and electrician confirmed that the wiring to the dishwasher had come loose.  Appliance King did NOT check this connection, which I would think would be one of the first places to look (Is it plugged in?)

Update:

The Appliance King called and left a message telling me that they were very sorry for the poor service and would not be charging my credit card.  I very much appreciate their willingness to admit fault.

Appliance King answered promptly and professionally.   We scheduled a time the next day and the repair person came right out. He cleaned out the area that was all clogged up, including broken glass that was in there.   The price was reasonable.
I've had wonderfully clean dishes ever since and am kicking myself for waiting so long to get it done.
