My daughter Veronica did a huge progress. Sol has a great approach to his students. He brings humour to his class but at the same time he is very demanding. He tells my daughter when she is not prepared, and that he knows she can do better. It works! She practices everyday and enjoys coming to a lesson every week. What is most important to me she started to love the music. She realized music is not only about playing notes correctly but also improvising and learning what else you can do with that sound.

I have been taking drum lessons for about a year and a half. Sol is an excellent drum instructor and I have enjoyed taking lessons. He provides instruction on drum rudiments, drum set, and song playing. He is knowledgeable over a wide variety of music styles. He has tailored lessons to my tastes and to meet my goals. I am taking lessons as a hobby and enjoy his expertise on double bass drumming. He is also accommodative when I want to learn a difficult heavy metal song. I would recommend Sol for beginning and experienced drummers. He has a nice setting for lessons in the basement of his home. He is always easy to work with when my travel schedule interferes with our lessons. Lastly, Sol has a great sense of humor which makes it fun to learn.

We feel very lucky that we stumbled into Sol through a recommendation from one of our son's school-mate’s parents. In our childhoods, we both had bad experiences with overly-structured and uninspiring music lessons. We wanted our son to love listening to and making music without putting him through the misery we went through. Sol understood our goals perfectly — so much so that we *all* started taking lessons from him, even though we started out planning to get lessons for our 6-year old son only.
He is a gifted teacher who watches our son’s face closely to determine what is working and what isn’t working. We are teachers ourselves, and we feel we are learning new things about teaching children from him.
