Contact Salesman called within 1 week of my clicking the link. He was polite and thorough. 4 hr presentation with many samples of windows, construction options, sash trim colors, finance options, further contact info for any problem resolutions, etc. Workmen were GREAT, very efficient. Installation was seamless, nice colors for sashes and trim applied and caulked cleanly. Finished product looks great, no debris left behind. Of course new windows make our old shutters look terrible by comparison. This will be one of next year's project I guess. Took about a month from the actual time of signing contracts for Sears to call and arrange appt for the window installation, though. We were in no hurry, it was early summer and we just wanted work completed before winter. Work was done in one day (8AM-4PM), no debris left behind. Service reps called a couple days after work completed to ask if we had any questions about construction and would approve the installation. We had no complaints. One problem we have since encountered w/these tilt in windows is that the top sash slips downward and must be repositioned in order to re-lock window. This happens every time bottom sash is raised. No other problems to date. We called Sears and were told this is common to double hung windows that tilt inward for washing, no solution other than to make sure top sash in pushed all-the-way upwards before trying to re-fasten a window. . For us, the incentive to purchase rather than just check pricing was the offer of receiving 2K in Sears Reward points that could be used same as cash in any Sears store: we need a new fridge. We were told that these Reward points would only be added to our account after work completed and would likely coincide with the time that our first pymt was due. After the windows were installed, before the first pymt, and before we were notified the points were even available for use, somehow these points were hacked. The hacker made a phony email address using the first part of address, leaving out the service provider and just adding .com to the end. At least two ($700+, $800+) purchases were made at a Sears store but we were never told which location. We learned this was very easily done by that person identifying him/herself with only a phone number to a Sears associate at the register. No other type of I.D required, no questions asked and they walked away at least twice with hundreds of dollars of merchandise in our name and debited from our Rewards account without our knowledge. When we contacted Sears, they froze the account and said they'd investigate but no one followed up with us. Over the space of 6 weeks we had to make 3 additional phone calls for updates. I realize that we are not Sears' only customer, but only one phone call regarding this security matter was returned during that time. The issue was resolved during our last phone call in October. The points were restored. This entire process from clicking the link for additional info in late June/early July to getting an estimate, the work being done, then getting the stolen Sears points back in mid October took about 4 months. I would advise anyone that has a Sears Reward account to try and make that account as hack- resistant as possible. IMO more than a phone number should be required to make any purchase but especially a big purchase of several hundred dollars. This was not nerve wrecking, but it was aggravating because it delayed our purchase of a replacement appliance; and frankly I was surprised at how easy at least $1500 in cash value was stripped from our account with no questions asked by the Sears cashier or store mgmt at the hacker's point of purchase. It's only been 4 months, but I have no complaints about the windows themselves and feel the price was fair value, the installation was seamless, the vetting process to be sure we were satisfied with the work we received was also excellent customer service. Buyer beware, identity theft as many paths.

Great price on tires. Consumer Reports rated the tires as excellent for Chicago weather. Wait was terrible, waiting room was a mess.

We bought the tires by phone from Sears. The rep was very helpful at connecting us with the auto center that would do the installation. When I called the center, the rep ("A C") had our order in the system. They did not take appointments, but we were advised to come on a weekday morning for faster service. We did so and they removed the old tires and installed the new in about an hour. The did not try to sell us any upgrades or find other work that had to be done on our car. All of the techs we spoke with were friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the car center to our friends.

I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE INSTRUMENTATION AND TOOLS FOR MAKING CHECKS AND TESTS. THE SERVICEMAN HAD GOOD KNOWLEDGE AND MADE MANY SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND COST SAVINGS. I FELT CONFIDENT THAT JOB WAS DONE WELL.

INITIALLY HAD PLACED A RESERVATION (APPOINTMENT?) FOR SERVICE ON MY CAR WITH 4 NEW TIRES AND ALIGNMENT. I CAME IN AT THE SUGGESTED TIME AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NO AVAILABILITY FOR MY CAR TO BE SERVICED. I WASN'T HAPPY WITH THE RESPONSE, BUT I UNDERSTAND THE SEARS IS INTERESTED IN TURNOVER (LARGE STORE). SO WHY NOT ME? I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND, SO I CAME BACK A WEEK LATER WHEN WORK WAS SLOW AND GOT MY SERVICE COMPLETED WITH DISCOUNT (MAILINGS, ETC.). ALSO TOOK ADVANTAGE OF SALE PRICES, ETC. TO MY SATISFACTION. REMEMBER WHEN WORK IS DONE ON YOUR CAR, EXPECT TO SPEND SOME TIME AWAY AND BE PREPARED TO DO SOMETHING ELSE. WELL UNLESS ITS A SIMPLE OIL CHANGE. I GIVE LOW MARKS FOR THE 1ST DAY AND VERY GOOD MARKS FOR THE 2ND DAY.

I CALLED TWO DAYS AHEAD OF TIME TO GET PRICES ON TIRES. THE PERSON I SPOKE TO DIDN''T BOTHER TO TELL ME THAT THE PRICES WERE ONLY GOOD FOR A LIMITED TIME. WHEN I GOT THERE A COUPLE DAYS LATER, THE SALE HAD ENDED AND I COULDN''T AFFORD THE TIRES I WANTED. THE SALES GUY POINTED OUT A COMPARABLE TIRE IN THE PRICE RANGE I COULD HANDLE. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND PERIODICALLY STOPPED IN THE WAITING ROOM TO UPDATE ME ON THEIR PROGRESS AND THE TIME REMAINING. I WASN''T VERY HAPPY WITH THE SPEED AT WHICH THE TECHNICIANS DROVE MY CAR INTO AND OUT OF THE SHOP, HOWEVER. THEY SEEMED A LITTLE RECKLESS. THE JOB WAS FINISHED IN THE TIME QUOTED.
