Quick Key Locksmith

Locked my keys inside my car. They were able to get it out without damaging the door. They gave an estimate of 20-40 minutes to get to me, and were there in 20 minutes. My only regret is that I forgot to ask them for the 10% Angi discount.

I have used Quick Key many times in the past and you may wonder why I'm giving such a negative review despite using them multiple times. They are hit or miss on their lock repairs, but it only became apparent over time. Sure they would "fix" the lock initially, but should I really have to have it repaired over and over again? This has happened with multiple locks in multiple locations. Big red flag. But what put me over the edge was a quote I received for a video intercom upgrade. Without consulting with me or investigating the current installation they sent me an estimate with all new parts and no explanation about labor. Do I really need all of these parts? Maybe, but Quick Key didn't seem to care, just to bill. When I tried to explain to their manager why this was not a good business practice (at least for customers), I was told that "they did nothing wrong" and this is how they invoice. Add to that their constant reminder that I have the RIGHT to do business with others. How condescending. Of course I can and I will. It's amazing to think that in a time when so many businesses and people are struggling, that a company can take such a cocky tone with any customer - basically, we don't need you. When I left the call, I told them how disappointed I was and that I felt it appropriate to leave reviews that reflect my experience. Their response was to threaten legal action. Needless to say, I have no interest in ever giving them a dollar of my money. I will take their advice and move on. Before you do business with them, maybe you should heed the same advice they gave me.

Not well. They were unsure of pricing and materials available. While installing they damaged the door. Will not use again.

They were very responsive, arriving the same day and going back to their (distant) shop for a needed piece and returning to finish that evening. Extremely hardworking. My only dissatisfaction was that the plate they used around the new deadbolt is very industrial and ugly, especially for a formal front door. Now, my husband was interacting with them and gave the ok for that plate. Thus, I still awarded the company an A. My husband cares about functionality much more than asthetics. Hence, the company did a fine job. My husband? Not so much!

the guys arrived within the 2 hour window promised, they were professional and polite and efficient. In and out within an hour. I requested extra keys and when one of them did not work, they tried all of the keys and made adjustments. After they left, one of the extra keys still did not work on all locks, so we agreed that they would refund the cost of the extra key.

Scheduling was easy, and they were easy to work with. However, when installing the new door knocker (which I had purchased separately), a chip of the door came off. So now I need to spackle and repaint the whole door, because my condo association didn't keep any of the paint from when the doors were painted. The gentleman who did the job told me that the template that came with the new door knocker was too big, and so he drilled a hole in the wrong place, which happened to be too close to the old, larger door knocker's drilled hole, which led to the chip coming off. Although that means that it wasn't entirely his fault, he offered me a $10 discount on the job, which was originally quoted at $110. That discount won't cover the cost of repairing the damage to the door, but given how little the original job cost, I can understand why they chose that number. I was going to leave the hole from the previous door knocker there, as I didn't want to have to repaint the door. So the silver lining is that now that hole will get patched too. In submitting this review, I answered the question, "Would you use them again" as "No". I'm not saying that I recommend *against* using them. Only that, in case more of the fault was theirs than I realize, I would try someone else out next time.

Quick Key was professional, capable and pleasant. First, they were very understanding and accommodating about scheduling (I was just buying the property so I had to change my appointment a couple of times). Once I settled on a time, they arrived promptly, performed the work quickly and efficiently and charged reasonable prices. They also helped to guide me in selecting new, vintage knobs and deadbolts for a third-party vendor, which was great because otherwise I would have purchased hardware that would not have worked with the doors in question. I will definitely use Quick Key again and do not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Service tech was on time, efficient and did a great job! I needed several locks rekeyed and all new keys made for the main building door when a tenant moved out as well as that apartment's doors. Everything went very well and as planned.

The technician told me quite honestly that the cost to replace the handles on my doors would be prohibitive. The only locks that would work were very high security commercial grade locks which I do not need. I was grateful that he did not try to sell me something that would not work. He then quickly and efficiently fixed my back door handle.

Everything went very well. The schedulers are easy to reach on the phone and the technician that came out was extremely professional. We will use them again.

They came within the appointment time window and repaired and re-keyed locks. The repaired lock began to have problems a few days later so, when I called, they came over within the hour and corrected the problem. Have not had any problems since. We thought they technicians were professional and we appreciated that they were quick to respond to make sure the lock was repaired properly. We felt the price of the service was reasonable. We would recommend this company.

Micheal was the guy sent from quick-key and arrived on time and was very professional..my only beef with the work done was one of the double barrel gates that he re-keyed wouldn't latch/lock anymore..We had an issue when we were verifying the work with the new keys and he adjusted something on the barrel and said it should work now and it did..but a week later now, I see that the gate wouldn't latch and lock. Not an impressive job I'd say..
