I was realy pleased with the process up until the end. The design of the deck was great, the building of it was quality, and newly-stained it looked great. Then after a few months we noticed the stain was starting to peel on both of our decks. After the winter, the decks really looked awful. We had Slavek come out in the spring to take a look at the deck and hopefully fix the surface, but he wouldn't fix the problem without additional payment. My neighbor and I told him the job he did wasn't adequate/complete and that we paid for a brand new deck, not one with horribly peeling stain. Slavek said he'd have to pay workers to come out and make the repairs, and he wouldn't do that if we weren't going to pay him more. And he was a bit nasty about it. So my neighbor and I hired different contractors to sand the decks, pressure wash and restain at a cost of over $1,000. We're not happy.
