Pro is a great company. Very trustworthy, professional and honest. I've brought my computer in for repair three times in the last 2 years when problems occurred. They promptly repaired a power box that blew out during a power outage, fixed software blue screen and other items. They are reasonably priced and friendly.

I was steered to the Clark St. branch, where they have more Techs, so that my wait would be less than at the other branches They cleaned the interior of dust, and removed infections from the hard drive. They couldn't save selected emails into an external drive., but rather had to save each folder (e.g. Sent Items) as a whole entity. When, a week later, I noticed many hundreds of extra files in MY Documents, I phoned them, and they remotely connected into my PC (at no extra charge), to determine that I could delete these files w/o risk.

Terrible. Gave back computer w/only a new hard drive. Loaded Mozilla Firefox w/o asking. Failed to ask if I wanted Microsoft re-installed. Just a hello/goodbye show me the money. Unable to recover ANY data.

"[Member Name Removed], terrible is what I would have labeled the service if it would have been another way to do this but there was no other way. We offered to load Microsoft office for you if you provide the license and we load Mozilla Firefox as a standard browser because we believe its better that chrome or internet explorer or edge. Recovering the data from an SSD is close to impossible and the price from our data recovery partner was astronomical. I am sorry that it did not turn out how you wanted and thanks for taking the time to write here - too bad that you did not accept our remote support team help. Florian"

Again, PRO did all the work and charged me NOTHING!!! They discovered that product #1 wasn't worth fixing and product #2 just needed a new power cord!  Most companies charge a fee just to look at the product.  PRO is very unique because they look for the problem 1st and then give the customer their analysis and opinion BEFORE charging!!  What a WONDERFUL concept...listen up other business...give the customer SERVICE 1st before requiring a FEE!

Awesome. Making the appointment was easy and -- pardon the term -- professional. Kenneth showed up at exactly the scheduled time, and was polite, friendly, and efficient. He solved the problem within an hour, and even had extra equipment that we needed to extend the wifi coverage. I was thrilled with the service.

Piece of cake. Kenneth worked with me to design a system that would meet my needs yet stay within my budget. He then brought the components to my house, got them up and running, migrated my files and programs from the old computer. When he left, everything was running. Later I decided I didn't like the Microsoft default colors (too bright) and contrast (not enough); and I went messing around with the settings and gummed everything up. I called PRO and Casey did a remote consult and fixed my inept tinkering. Very important: at no time did anyone there even hint that I was a technophobe with minimal computer skills - which I am, but it was nice not to hear it from them! PRO is my go-to source for all things computer.

After suffering for years with the impersonal, mediocre, and agonizingly slow service of Chicago's best-known computer repair businesses, I had the good fortune to recently discover what I believe is this town's finest computer repair/IT support center:

Founder/CEO Florian Militaru has assembled a team of talented and knowledgeable IT professionals who clearly take pride in exceeding customers' expectations. Their repair service turnaround time is incredibly fast compared to other computer repair businesses I've dealt with, and their rates are very reasonable. But what really distinguishes PRO - Technology Professionals from the competition is the incomparable quality of their customer service. Florian and his techs speak plain English instead of uber-technical jargon to ensure that customers understand exactly what their computers need and do NOT need. These folks patiently answer customer questions and are genuinely just nice people to do business with. PRO - Technology Professionals is a platinum quality enterprise in my opinion and I won't even consider using another computer repair/IT support service.

I dropped laptop off on a business trip, based on them having three locations and favorable reviews on angies list.  I payed an extra $40 for expedited service.  First contact with them was to tell me that the motherboard was bad and they would need to order a new  one.  I then waited another week and they told me that they had replace the motherboard, but the screen was still flickering.  They suggested replacing the screen,  I agreed.  A week later, I call the check and they said they were having problems finding a replacement screen.  I sent them some places that carry them (First warning sign).  They then call me back and they said they couldn't find a new one (obviously didn't check ebay) but found a used one, I asked them if they could find a nicer one, as I was willing to pay extra since I loved that laptop.  They call back and for approx. $100 more they found a "really good" screen.  I agreed and they ordered parts.  A week later, They told me it was done and was being shipped back to me since I was back home in Cleveland.  This was the start of the nightmare
    I opened box and was very excited to see my laptop.  Powered it on and it looked good.  I started to use it and opened up task manager to see what was going on since it was running slower than before and saw large blotches on the white background, and while in task manager I noticed that laptop had half the ram it had when I dropped it off.  I called their customer service, and I was told that they knew about splotches, but they thought they were "pressure marks" and would go away during shipping, which didn't make any sense since the laptop is a touchscreen covered in gorilla glass, but they offered me a credit to make up for the defective screen and missing memory.  I accepted since I thought I could deal with the splotches and always add the ram later on.  I went on vacation to florida and I thought I would add the memory to it, but I ordered 2 separate sticks of memory, and neither worked.  And one night, while I was sitting there watching a movie, I noticed it looked blockier than before.  I checked the resolution settings and the screen was now a 1920x1080 screen, but when I dropped it off, it had a 2880x1620 screen.  I called back again and explained my justified frustation, and after consulting with their customer service, I was offered a $200 credit.  I refused credit this time, as the laptop was useless to me now with only half the ram and almost half the resolution, and I wanted a full refund.  At this point I was told that in order to receive that credit, I would have to "plead my case" to the owners via e-mail.  Seriously.  So I had to write down the WHOLE thing via e-mail and send it to the owners.  The next day I was called back by support saying that my request for a refund was granted, but I would have to ship laptop back to them at my own cost, and they would not give said refund until they received the laptop and checked it over.  A week later, they did finally issue me a refund, only it was $90 less than what was originally agreed to.  I had to wait again while they verified the amount correctly.  
Throughout the whole ordeal, I was never contacted by an "owner", never offered an apology, and every call I had to recount the growing list of things they had broken since nothing had been entered in the call notes.  The only contact I had from the owner was when I shared this story on yelp, and his response was "sorry, but it won't happen again, and there's nothing I can do for you".  They also proceed to blame a previous hard drive replacement repair for part of the issue, but even if they had spilled soda on the motherboard, how would that have been a factor since they were the ones that replaced the motherboard and screen with defective parts?

Adin Calkic, went above and beyond in ensuring that all problems were resolved and helping me get access to my files, calendar and email most efficiently and being able to Sync across multiple devices. As a working professional with 3 children, I just need things to work at times and Adin just made it so. No question was a dumb question. He was also really good at following up to ensure that everything was working out.
