Very well, I would have them again,

I ordered a storm door for my mother's house. The door finally arrived but we needed someone who was experienced and able to install it. The door arrived without the handle attached and required drilling (and other things).  After making several calls and leaving messages, I reached Evan. We discussed what needed to be done and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Evan arrived on time. After unloading his truck (he had his own tools!), he got to work. Evan worked diligently and made us aware of any glitches that popped up during the installation. After a few hours, we had a shiny, new door installed. The door looks and works great!. The bonus was that Evan is skilled at working THROUGHOUT the house. After giving him a tour of the house, he indicated that he could do a number of these repairs. It looks like we found a really skilled contractor!

We did get him from Angie's List.  He did well and he was very honest.  He was very thorough but not the fastest.  Quality was more important to him rather than speed.  I think he was fine but he could have given a better time estimate.  His pricing was good however it was still over budget and over estimated but it was understandable as to why.

I felt the price for the window sill was alright. I have him doing some more work around the house. I gave him another check for $200 to give me an estimate for a front door. I know the door will cost about $189, but he is shopping around. I told him I wanted to see the receipts for what he bought before he does anything. He repaired a window that didn’t open correctly, so he put two boards so the window will stay up. He’s been putting little nails around the house. So I asked him to let me know how much he was charging me to do each little job while he’s doing it, instead of using the money I gave him towards it. Since it’s been raining so much lately, he’s been kind of coming and going when he can, which is fine with me. He repaired a hole in the windowsill that bugs were coming through. He came back in to put the air conditioner back in the window. He is a good worker.

Evan was very professional and knowledgeable with door repair. He made me aware of the mistakes the installer had made. The door had not been secured with the correct nails causing it to pull from the wall. He also assisted me with other issues (broken window, outlet) I plan to use him again in a few weeks for gutter repair. Although he wasn't available, he called me back when he was free to see if I still needed him.

My family and I have been extremely pleased with all services, which is why we are still currently utilizing the contractor.

Evan  had the materials delivered and the next day started construction. He was very conscientious and worked long hours to get the shed build in a timely manner. He followed all the rules that our city required and the shed  passed inspection. I couldn't have asked for a sturdier and better constructed, great looking shed. In previous months Evan has retiled my bathroom and installed baseboards throughout my living and dinning room, and various smaller jobs. We are always happy with the outcome and would highly recommend him.

His work is always of high quality - I have yet to find fault with any of the work he has done: once Evan is on the job, you can put it out of your mind.

The project went very well, and I'm satisfied that our family room looks better than it ever has. Of more importance, Evan has done a lot of work for us over the last two years - we live in a suburban tri-level home that's about 45 years old now. He replaced half a dozen interior doors and one exterior one. His carpentry is both skillful and artistic. And he seems to be able to solve any problem of the type that occurs when remodeling an existing structure. He painted our kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and living room. He repaired walls as needed, and also replaced or touched up baseboard as needed. Most recently he painted our three bedrooms, also doing any necessary repairs. Last year, he finished our utility room, which had been an unfinished area since we bought the home. He made good suggestions, offered ideas we wouldn't have thought of, and made the space bright and handsome - I almost don't mind doing laundry there now! So Evan is a talented carpenter and painter, someone who offers suggestions but keeps in mind our particular style. He's hard-working, honest, and pleasant. His fees are very reasonable. We recommend him without reservation for remodeling and renovation.
