Ponce Builders were excellent. Highly recommended. Ramon and his crew are professional, courteous, hard working and honest. Ramon was a bit difficult to get a hold of for a quote and to follow up and schedule the job, but this is completely expected for a small "one man and his crew" contractor during their busy season. In fact, Ramon was the best in terms of communication of all the contractors I contacted to try and get quotes from. Their work is excellent--very impressed with the quality and attention to detail. They just do it right! Also, their pricing was very fair. We had to make several small changes to the job as it progressed (in part because a neighbor's property was partially involved), and Ramon was very easy to deal with in arranging additions, etc., and very fair in the added price for the changes. Overall, the best small contractor experience my wife and I have had on our house so far.

All went as scheduled. the previous sidewalk was pitched towards the house allowing water to enter the basement. Ramon came out to inspect my sidewalk and gave me some good ideas which I'm currently very pleased with. I had a wooden stoop to enter the side of the house and he just designed the new sidewalk so i wouldn't need it. They came out when they said they would completing the job in a couple of days. 

This is my second review for Ponce Builders. Ramon's crew made some sidewalk repairs for my condo association several years ago, which held up much better than the original builder's work.

We had a collapsed sewer pipe underneath our sidewalk, which was causing the entire sidewalk to sink.  They replaced the pipe and upgraded that section of the sidewalk.  We also had a huge rat infestation (welcome to Chicago) that no amount of professional extermination could control.  Ponce poured a permitter cement trench around the garage, which solved the nasty rat problem. 

I'm currently living out of state, so one of the other owners was the point person on the project and was equally impressed with Ponce's professionalism and good quality work.

Found Ramon on Craigslist, cross referenced to Angie's List and his reviews were good so I emailed him for a quote. He gave me 3 quotes, replace the bottom step, replace the bottom 3 steps, or replace everything. I decided to have them all replace.
He came out, on time, just 3 days later. He and his crew made quick work of my old staircase. It was soon framed out, the city came out a day later to inspect the work and found no issues. The next morning they were back on site to pour the concrete. It took them about half the day to knock it out. They cleaned up and left the place spotless.
They were all very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend Ponce Builders to anyone.

He and his worker were on time, were pleasant, and did a great job of cleaning the work area.

I found Ponce and Ramon on Yelp originally and called Ramon to repair a sidewalk in yard and tuckpoint the bricks on one side of the building. He was very quick and responsive with the quote and priced fairly. the job was done well. they cleaned up afterwards nicely. I would defintiely use Ponce again.

There was a big crack on the concrete walkway in front of my condo building which I have been putting off fixing it for years. Finally I couldn't stand looking at it anymore and decided to call around for quotes. I talked to Ramon on the phone. He was professional, very knowledgeable about concrete work and was able to address all my concerns in details. He came out to confirm an estimate and I received a written estimate over email on the same day. Their price was very reasonable. I was able to schedule the work within a week. Not only that he confirmed the time of arrival the day before but also he and his crew arrived exactly at the time he promised. The majority of the work completed in a day and the whole process was smooth and worry-free. It is so hard to find good and reliable contractors and I believe I found one finally. Highly recommend Ponce Builders!

They were very versatile and knowledgeable. Over all, they were a great company to work with.

When Ramon first came to my home, he was on time and brought with him references and a copy of their insurance and license. I really liked that they were very organized. They took no time to measure and to answer all my questions. They told me that it would take 3 weeks, but they only took 2 1/2 weeks to finish. They were very clean and very hardworking. They would work 9-12 hour days. I really liked that they paid so much attention to detail especially on the painting. Alex, the foreman, was also great. He answered all my questions, and more importantly, he was like my guide through my project. I learned so much from him. They really made me feel at ease through this whole experience.
