Carl Henkelman at Phoenix was great. We were really uncertain about what color we wanted, but he was very patient with us and provided great advice. The end result was terrific -- exactly what we wanted. His crew was expert, and really nice to work with. No complaints at all. He was also quite responsive over email.

The weather caused some delays but the crews were able to finish the job. Carl was very accommadating and addressed what few concerns I had. It was a relief to work with someone who exhibited honesty.

The work was immaculate and the nursery looks gorgeous. Extremely punctual, knowledgeable, organized and professional. Will continue to hire for all our future projects in painting !

We love working with Carl and his team! They are talented, thorough, professional, and friendly. Their work is meticulous. They do a great job removing all furniture and objects before work on a room, including removing books from bookshelves, keeping them in order. They replace everything exactly where it was once they are finished. They arrive promptly each day and at the end of the day they leave clear paths to what you need, so you can keep using your home while they are working on it. Best of all was working with Carl on colors. He is a true artist. Our entire condo was painted linen white, so we had no experience with colors and were even a bit hesitant about them. Carl worked with us, spending many extra hours looking at colors, putting up multiple wall samples, and in two cases re-doing a room when the color didn’t turn out as we expected. We learned about how colors look different in changing light and how views from one room into another can be really pleasing. We ended up with colors that perfectly suit our style and we are still enjoying our beautiful rooms every day.

When they took apart a light fixture in my hall, to paint behind it and they put it back, they didn't properly put it back and one of them broke. I had to replace two light fixtures. He was very nice about it he said he would do the electrical work, but he couldn't do the electrical work. So, he split the cost of the electrician with me, however he didn't offer to pay for the light fixture that broke. They messed up my light fixture which cost me an extra $250 for two new light fixtures and another $45 for an electrician. So, that did not make me totally happy.

He is meticulous in accounting for any additions or deletions from it, and he uses top quality materials. His crew are considerate and clean workers. He stands behind his work 100% and will always address any issues that arise with his work.

Carl's team does amazing and beautiful work. Beyond the excellent quality provided, the crew is profession, courteous and punctual. They were fantastic: excellent craftsmen, easy to deal with, very careful. I have used them for smaller jobs also; they were similarly terrific. They are on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. I will use them for all of my painting needs in the future.

It took the professionals of Phoenix Painting and Decorating much longer to remove the old finish on the deck than they had estimated. They worked on it non stop for more than a week until they got it exactly the way they wanted and it's superb. What a dedication and a sense of professional pride.

Their work is always excellent. The crew is very professional and take great care and pride in what they do. In each instance, repairs were made and painting was done so that everything blended in perfectly. I can't imagine the work being done any better than Phoenix and I give them my highest recommendation
