I brought my Mazda 5 into Pete's Auto Clinic for the very first time yesterday, as I was looking for a mechanic closer to my house and whom I felt had good reviews about service and turnaround time. I dropped the car off with him at about 8:30am and asked for him to look about replacing my brakes, an issue with my transmission slipping and a metal on metal noise, which I heard coming from the front end of my car, when I hit bumps or pot holes. Pete listened and wrote down all of these issues and told me that he would look at it shortly and call me back in just a few hours. He in fact did call back in a few hours and ran promptly through my reported list of problems. He noted that my transmission was slipping a little between gears, but nothing to overreact and have fixed, just keep the fluid levels right. He stated they could not locate any source of the metal on metal sound while driving it nor when they had it up on the lift. Lastly, he did state that I would need new brake rotors and pads, but his price for those with labor was lower than I have experienced at other shops. Pete said that he would have the brake work and an added oil change done by the early afternoon and would call me back when finished. As promised, he did call me back at that time and said that my Mazda work was completed. He also added that after having the car back up on the lift and inspecting the wheels while doing the brake work that they found the likely source of the metal on metal sound and it was rusted ball bearings in my passenger side wheel. While he not have time to do the work yesterday, Pete stated that I could drop it off next week and he would have that issue corrected too. I will be bringing it back to him after his work during my first visit there.

I appreciated Pete's quick turnaround time, his fair prices, him concentrating on addressing all of my car's issues, but offering options for each one and being in contact with me as promised. It was a great experience at his shop.

They're really good. He's very honest. He doesn't fix something that doesn't need to be fixed. I've taken my cars there for 17 years. He's great. Pete and his son are really good. If you find a good mechanic, you stick with it. I like him. He doesn't rip you off. If he tells you something's going to be done within an hour, for the most part, it is. He's a good guy.

The car dealership told me it was bearings and I was going to have to leave it overnight and all this stuff. But Pete's Auto Clinic just fixed in a couple of hours and it was fine. He's really honest about things. He doesn't try to fix things that don't need it or hit me for bills that aren't necessary.

I have used the company for about 10 years. I have always been very happy with their work. They are very reliable and knowledgeable. I have never felt overcharged for services. It is mainly Pete and one other technician. They are both professional and very friendly. They know my name when I walk in. They keep good records about what they have done in the past. They have almost always been able to get my car back to me the same day I take it in.

My calipers were frozen and when I drove there was a thumping from the
breaks. I took it to the dealer and they were going to charge $500 to replace breaks and calipers. I
got the car out of the dealer and took it to Pete's and they just
unstuck them and not replace them the way the dealer was going to. While there I also had the oil changed. The whole thing was just over $100.
