Great! I highly recommend Carol. She listened to my short- and long-term goals and immediately identified where to start. We worked together on one room or area at a time, usually for 4 hours at a time, generally once a week. She kept me focused and made great suggestions, but was understanding about my priorities, especially concerning the things I was not ready to part with. Carol works hard and will do the ‘heavy lifting’. I personally found that I worked best side-by-side with Carol throughout the process, but she would also be good at getting you started on a task that you could complete on your own (for someone with more time and initiative than I have). My house is now in order; the whole experience was truly transformative, both for me and the house. I can’t say enough about what a great experience this was.

Carol is very calm, organized, professional and had great ideas. She is a great partner for getting your house and "stuff" in order. She is smart and full of simple but worthy ideas and methods plus sees the big picture. She can work side by side with you or on her own. I especially like that she understood exactly what I wanted--did not impose one right way to do tidying and organizing. She is a delight to work with. I recommend her to anyone who needs an ally or partner in the daunting task of getting "it all together." She also has a great Rolodex so she can suggest other professionals--such as thrift shops, places that accept donations, and many other useful sources. I give her a big thumbs up! She can work for a one time visit or a longer term relationship (as it takes longer to put a lifetime in order!)

In response to a major life change, I needed to quickly reorganizie my living space, discard items that no longer worked for me, and ?as always ? pare down further.  Calmly and logically, Carol Woodworth of Optimal Organizing came to my house and performed a feat of organizing wizardry on my (then) overcrowded and chaotic space. In a matter of only three hours ($85 per hour), we reconfigured space and repurposed some pieces of furniture (for example, converting a TV storage cabinet  into a clothing storage area with the help of just a few wicker storage baskets). As Carol worked, she applied a critical eye to the remaining pieces of furniture and other items (like a treadmill) to determine whether and how they would ? or wouldn?t ? work for me when I move into a smaller living space in the future. Thank you, Carol. The only thing missing from your wizardry was a magic wand!

Carol is amazing. I knew I wanted to declutter and organize my home, after living here for 22 years. But I didn't know where to start. Carol came into my home, surveyed the situation and suggested we begin in my home office - I tend to avoid this area as much as I can! I get anxious every time I walk in there and see the piles of papers, bills, forms, etc.  Carol is very reassuring, confident and very helpful with decision making. Its almost fun! Especially to see the piles of paperwork recede. She has created a filing system that makes sense and is easy to carry forward. And she sits next to me every step of the way!
Carol has been to my home 3 times already and I plan to use her expertise to help me declutter and organize many areas of my home. I always thought I could do it myself, but I guess I'm emotionally attached to things from my past and its hard to let go. Carol makes it almost easy! I would highly recommend Carol for her years of expertise, calm, reassuring manner, and great results!

The owner of Optimal Organizing is a marvel. She has an ability to look at a
situation ? be it an overstuffed closed badly in need of sorting or a financial
system requiring a total overhaul ? and break it down into manageable pieces.
In applying her methodical eye and approach to a situation, she makes order out
of chaos and shows customers how to do the same. She does so with a pleasant
style, taking processes one step at a time. Having Optimal organizing in my
home is a pleasure. Among the owner's many talents is a keen understanding of
how to make the most of multi-use spaces. She's a problem solver, and that's exactly what I needed. i was so happy with her services that i've recommended her to two of my daughters, who were equally happy with her service.

For years, my daughter had been concerned about the condition of her garage.This garage had an accumulation of several years of "stuff".  It seemed to be an overwhelming project.  As a belated birthday gift, I purchased three hours of garage orgaization from Carol Woodworth of Optimal Organizing.  Carol was punctual, professional and worked steadily for the entire 3 hours.  Her suggestions for setting up additional storage were greatly appreciated.  Also, it was important for my daughter  to be available to answer any questions Carol had regarding what should be tossed or saved.
The resulting improvement was significant.  We were both very satisfied with the work that was accomplished.  For this reason, I highly recommend Optimal Organizing.

I could never have brought order from chaos without Carol.  While coping with a long series of family illnesses and deaths, the paperwork from all facets of my life had accumulated into an overwhelming morass.  On top of that, I inherited from my mother boxes of letters, papers, photographs, journals and memorabilia, including what she had inherited from HER mother.  Carol was a delight as she guided me through the process, with an wealth of organizational tricks, firm questions guiding me to what I could toss out and warm compassion when I could not always do it (at least not  yet).   Carol is a very fast study, quickly understanding my goals ranging from concepts underlying the organization of my scientific papers to the odd branches of my family tree.  She taught me guidelines for financial organization and was a steady source of motivation.  At the end of each session, our progress was clear and we had had fun working together.
