NAVIS PACK & SHIP

The movers showed up extremely late and with less movers then promised. My fiancé and I actually had to help them move our items and pack their moving truck. They quoted us a price before the move and the highly raised the cost of the move at the end when it was their issue that it took them longer b/c they showed up extremely short staffed.

They broke, scratched and tore several of our very expensive items, we spoke to the owner before his movers left and he refused to pay for any repairs or to lower the price of the move to something much more fair - my fiancé and I should NOT have helped the movers to move our own items onto their truck; however, if we had not- the company would have charged us more money...  they are most unprofessional moving company I have ever used and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Ultimately, we had to call the Chicago police to get the movers to leave our property and we utilized a different moving company we were very happy with when we moved from the 2032 W Superior address.

They were very good; very accurate. They were prompt on time; they told me how things would take place, and when the furniture was going to get delivered and it was exactly right.  I was very happy.

While still at home in San Jose, I searched the internet looking for a shipping company. I was going to Chicago to help close up my mother's household. She had been moved to a nursing home. I contacted Navis, among other companies, because of their fairly close location to my mother's apartment. Navis' reply via email was prompt and suggested a phone contact for further details. I did this and spoke to the representative (Mike). He was knowledgeable and helpful and answered all my questions. When the time came to have my shipment picked up the truck was reasonably "on time." The workers were friendly and courteous. My shipment arrived in San Jose according to schedule. There was a long wait on the day of the delivery because the contracting company in San Jose delivered my shipment last because I was close to their warehouse. The contractor chose to deliver my goods last. I called back to Navis in Chicago and was assured by Mike the shipment had arrived at the warehouse according to schedule and gave me the local contact. If I needed a cross-country shipper again I would use Navis.

The cost included the chairs/delivery and set up. They had called me a week ago informing me the chairs would be delivered today, December 21st. I mentioned that I was moving into the house that I wanted the chairs to deliver to. They gave me a 1-4pm window of when they would be there. I requested they call me 30 min before so I could meet them. They arrived to the house without calling me. They first knocked but no one was there. They then called the house phone but no one was there. They finally called my cell telling me they were waiting. I said I could be there in the next 10 min but they wouldn't be able to wait that long. They said they had a tight schedule for the rest of the day. I called the manufacturer who said they wouldn't be able to reschedule the delivery until the first of the year.
