In business since 2008. I started gaining my skills as a carpenter at a young age, helping my dad finish basements and building tree forts. I specialize in carpentry - furniture, built ins, fences, small decks, and decorative mouldings and trimwork. I have also rehabbed homes - electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling, window and door install, and wall repair or replace.

Overall, an excellent experience. I described the issue over the phone and provided photos of the rotting window stool via text messaging. This was very convenient. An estimate was provided the same day and I think the price is very fair. We scheduled the work for a day that was mutually convenient.
On the day the work was scheduled I was notified that Chris was on his way. Within minutes the rotting wood was removed and disposed. Chris had left to have the new wood cut and edged. Later that afternoon he returned to finish the job. Everything was done quickly and professionally. The new window stool was painted, caulked and the surrounding wall was patched. The area was cleaned with a vacuum after all the work was done.
I am very happy with the work performed by Chris, his professionalism and timely communication. I highly recommend Master Johnny Inc.

His professionalism was top notched. The clean-up was great. He found more work that would require about $400 more, but as soon as he discovered he needed more work, he let us know. I almost couldn't tell he'd been doing any work because it was pretty clean. We actually had him give us estimates on a couple of other things that we'll probably have him do soon. The price was fair, because of the amount of effort and time spent.

He was great at doing small jobs and we had him back a few times to complete all the little handyman jobs we had. There were a couple of larger jobs he wasn't able to do (ex: laying down a new vinyl kitchen floor), but we were very happy with the work he did do.

The project went great. Chris (Master Johnny) did most of the work at his home workshop and only did the initial prep work on the electrical and the final assembly here at the house. Before the project he was able to assess our needs and work with our design. He quoted us a price and stuck to it. We live in a 100-year old house and the walls and floors are uneven and he was able to adjust for that seemlessly. He did some light electrical for us to get outlets in the right place and patched up and repaired walls as necessary. He is super-efficient and knows how to troubleshoot. The project started on time and finished up in the time frame he told us. My only complaint is the first time he came out he was late and only called after he was about 60 minutes late. But he was timely after that when he worked on the project. I HIGHLY recommend Chris and will definitely use him again.

He arrived on time. The work took longer than he had expected, but
he completed the job and did not charge us extra.

Chris went above and beyond my expectations. He put up the lattice with some very nice borders and an access panel that you can't even tell is there. He set my expectations of when he could get the work done and he showed up on time and finished the project as expected. I will be definitely be using him for any additional carpentry work.

My very first contact with Master Johnny, Inc. (Chris) was extremely positive. He was understanding, sensitive, and very quickly understood the exact nature of the work that I wanted done. He came over to the house within twenty-four hours of our call, gave me a quotation (that included some very worthwhile options), and started work within a week. He was neat, punctual, and most of all, was an excellent craftsman.
I would definitely recommend him to others for remodeling work (especially carpentry), and also custom cabinetry. I will probably end up using him again for other projects unrelated to the big mess that I had to deal with. As far as I am concerned, he gets an and quot;Aand quot; in every category.

The work that he did he did very well but the estimate he gave me wasn't accurate because he forgot to include something and so it came out to be a different price but we agreed that it was a fair price. The price is reasonable.

We first used Master Johnny to replace a single loose piece of siding on our house. He was by far the least expensive and he did a fine job. We also had him check out some loose tile in the bathroom. He saw what he thought was mold which grew because their was improper backing behind the tile - some drywall and some areas of no backing. We had the mold taken care of before he did the work. He repaired the bathroom and an area in the basement where we also had mold. He installed drywall and the baseboard in the basement and got them paint-ready. He also replaced a light fixture in a closet. He did all of the jobs well and for a good price.

They have done a bunch of stuff around here. Chris is a really nice guy and very responsive and willing to do anything I ask him to do. He is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I really cannot say enough about him. He is busy and it took him a couple of weeks to get out here. I will be using him again.

Everything went really well - Chris did a thorough, professional and beautiful job. Our fences and doors have never looked better. He arrived when he said he would and worked until the job was done. We have used him for other jobs before and all were done in the same professional manner. We will use him again and recommend him to others.

I found Chris on a search of Angie's List, and once again everything turned out as well as I would hope for someone with as many positive reviews here.
As mentioned above, I had a bunch of different projects that had been building up over the last few months, and Chris was able to take on all of them. In fact, he talked me out of a project or two or into a much simpler solution than the one I had initially envisioned -- one of the great benefits of hiring someone who has such good experience across a wide variety of projects.
He came out to evaluate things in-person so he knew exactly what he was quoting, and stuck with the quote at the end of the project, even though it ended up taking him a little more time and potentially a few extra materials than he had initially planned. He has a great demeanor; doesn't make you feel like the work is an inconvenience to him (a problem I've had in the past hiring GC-types to handle smaller projects) and cleaned up nicely after himself so that you couldn't even tell he was there (except for the improvements!). He also appears to take pride in the quality of his work, and I'm very happy with the end results.

Chris Mastroianni returned my call regarding an estimate within 30 minutes and told me he could swing by my place the same day. He arrived, took measurements of the toekick that needed to be replaced, wrote an estimate for $75.00 and told me he would need to order the replacement piece, which would take a couple of weeks.
His estimate was, by far, the lowest. Two other estimates were given over the phone, without someone stopping by to see the actual work-to-be-done.
I contacted Chris by e-mail and asked him to order the new maple toekick, He kept in touch with me by e-mail and let me know when the piece arrived.
The morning of the work, he called to let me know he was running just a few minutes behind. I appreciated the phone call, as I've been left hanging by late contractors once or twice in the past. He arrived a short time later and knocked out the work in less than an hour. He used my broom and dustpan to sweep up the area after he completed the work.
Chris was polite, professional and punctual and his work looks great. The toekick in my kitchen is as good as new. I would highly recommend his service to others.

Chris was very responsive at giving estimates and fitting the work into his schedule. He has a sense of how to give troublespots a nice finish. i.e., we had a cabinet wall that had never smoothly connected to the kitchen counter top; he put trim around it so that it no longer draws attention. Similarly, the floor thresholds between the kitchen and the rooms on either side were old, cracked and messy looking. He created new thresholds, trimmed precisely to fit, and matched to other woodwork that make the whole floor look more finished. He has aesthetic judgment for putting up the new bathroom fixtures so that everything looks balanced. He was prompt, personable and worked hard. The work all looks great. I highly recommend him.

I called Chris and he was able to come out and give me an estimate the same day. He gave me an estimate of $200 and scheduled to come out early the following week to do the repairs. He got here right on time and got to work. After a few hours he came out and told me that a tile had gotten cracked when trying to clean off the adhesive (a fairly standard thing because it takes a good amount of force to do it). So at that point he went to get a replacement tile and the grout for the tiles. Apparently he had trouble finding an exact match and actually ran around town to multiple places to find the right tile/grout to match. Keep in mind this was right as big snow storm was getting started. The final result looks perfect. Final price ended up being $230 because of some extra supply costs, but the work he did looks great and he even patched up a couple problem spots in the grout and sealing around the window that I hadn't noticed or mentioned. So looks like his repairs should last a good long while. Probably going to have him come back and do a few other odds and ends around my place.
