The service was very good, they looked very hard to fix but they were able to find the cause & fixed the problem. I have a working Washing Machine now. Its a one man operation and he did an excellent job, that is why we have called him again for repair service.

Gary is very friendly, polite, and conscientious. Fortunately, the dryer button just needed to be repositioned within its bracket. As to the refrigerator, it wasn't making noise when Gary looked at it. So he started vacuuming behind the refrigerator and checking to make sure that the fan moved freely. While doing this, the refrigerator started to make a mild noise. Gary pinpointed the problem to be a motor which spins a fan inside the freezer compartment. He replaced the motor and we haven't heard the noise since.

It turned out to be a minor adjustment, but Mr. Margolis quickly determined the problem and also showed me how to level the machine. He was accommodating to our work schedule, and he worked quickly and effectively.

Margolis did a great job diagnosing the issue and discovered that the washer was leaking but it would also need additional repairs to get it working. They recommended buying a new washer vs trying to fix it, which was very refreshing to see. They even went online and found a quality replacement for us. Overall a great experience and glad we used them.

Fantastic, checked entire machine found the problem, replaced the needed part and the machine works like new. Very friendly person. He was like an old friend. Good prices, on time. If I have any future problems, I found my new repair man.

it was OK, but I felt he could have tried a few more things to see if he could make it work or run some diagnostics since he came out to my home and chatgeed me 80 dollars

"This customer's control panel was clearly damaged by water, the touch pad was delaminating from it's backing and this part alone was $170.47 plus the service call and labor to install alone would have been $300.47 not to mention the rest of the dishwashers condition was very poor. The customer chose not to repair when I told her how much it would be, so no more diagnosis at that point was needed. Note: In the future do not allow dish rack on counter above dishwasher to drain across front of dishwasher and do not use a wet sponge to wipe off control panel. Service Date was 4/6/2017"

I use Margolis Appliance Repair for my appliance repairs. I had work done by them in March of 2012. Gary Margolis works alone, he's very honest, he's very efficient, he doesn't hang around and chat. Everything he does is right on and I don't know anybody that does appliances better than he does. I have used him for many years, over a decade I think.

Once he was at my house, Gary was professional and knowledgable. Unfortunately our dryer was unable to be fixed and it cost me $120 to find this out, which stings when there's no way to apply that amount to a repair or a new dryer. Gary did have good recommendations about which kind of dryer to buy and he talked about steps we should take to achieve a proper installation. That was helpful. The only reason I gave Margolis a B is because I stayed home from work specifically to be there during our scheduled appointment window, and after that time had come and gone and I called Gary to check in, he said he couldn't come for a few more hours and seemed to have forgotten the appointment altogether. Not a huge deal, I was already home for the day and could wait. But the oversight was in no way acknowledged. When we hung up, I felt my business didn't matter much and my call was annoying. It's difficult to be home in the middle of a workday and I appreciate it when my time is respected as much as anyone else's. That said, I would call Gary again because I do believe he knows his appliances.

Technician was a few minutes outside the agreed upon window but called to let us know he was running a bit behind so, no problems there. The work was done quickly and professionally at a reasonable rate. We'll be calling again should we need help in the future.

Gary saved me about $5,000 today by actually taking the thing apart to see exactly what might be wrong. He literally stumbled on the solution to the problem which was nothing more than a damper that would not open. The damper was unnecessary, as there was already another damper in place. Most people would have just told me to buy a new system. Gary saved the day.

Mr. Margolis was wonderful. He looked at the problem, gave me honest feedback and explained his reasoning. He could have sold me parts or service that would not have fixed my problem, but made himself more money. He didn't do that, but was honest. I will use him again.
