There's a reason you're reading this review. If don't want to get screwed over like I did, avoid Jose Acosta and Just Screw It Handyman Services. Jose Acosta was hired by another contractor of mine when he was stopped for working without a permit. He was supposed to take over the job and get the permits through with the village of Oak Park. He pretty much abandoned the unfinished project right after receiving payment. Unresponsive for months at a time by email, phone and text. Completely worthless. I started a possible three week project in May and am just now getting it started again in December with a replacement contractor. He walked away with $850 I paid him to install an egress window. Then he ignored any attempts to get a refund. Won't respond to texts, phone voicemail is full, unable to leave messages, no response to email. By far the worst experience I've had working with anybody.
