I got quotes from several companies and JC LIlly gave me the best prices for either Marvin Windows or Fiberglass windows clad in black exterior, which I needed. Their prices for vinyl windows are not better than other companies' prices. I replaced two 37" by 74", two 23" by 74" and one picture window with obscure glass 22" by 54". The service was impecable. They were here when they said they would and did a wonderful installation job, leaving every thing clean. Additionally Jeannie was incredibly patient with my two hundred questions about quality and durability. I will call them again when I need to change other windows.

"I do not know this individual and performed no work for her. I believe this review was for another company. 2 years ago I complained to Angies List to get it straightened out with the homeowner because another company is not getting the credit they deserve. Angies List promised to take care of it and here it sits 2 years later. Sorry but we never met and we never did the job. As soon as Ms. [Member Name Removed] described the CC payment process I knew we didn't to the job. This is not how we do business."

We needed new windows (our house is 101 years old and I think these might be the original wood windows..) We interviewed three companies recommended by Angie's list and J.C. Lilly was the best of all. All we read on the internet said to NOT take the lowest bid. We couldn't help it - Jeannie's company was the lowest bid and the best.
Talking to Jeannie for a few minutes lets you know she is an expert in this field. I let her make the decision on what color cladding to use and she was right - bronze turned out so much better than blah beige.
Another thing we liked was the fact these windows were manufactured in Chicago.
The crew were unbelievable - they were courteous and installed 20 windows in one day. They had to come back the next day to finish framing and cladding on the first floor. Their expertise was remarkable. And we had no clean-up. They vacuumed everything which was important as there was an infant on our second floor. No clean up on the outside either.
If this review sounds like I'm making it up, I'm not. Wow!! Three cheers for J. C. Lilly.

Crew arrived on time, covered floor and path ways to prevent damage and for easier cleanup. Even brought a vac to suck up debris. Removed the old windows and sash components, dry fit one of the new windows and determined what was needed to fit the new windows and did this work cleanly and with expertise. Finally set the new windows. Insulated the gaps fastened the windows in place and put new aluminum sheathing on the outside to match the rest of the building. Did the calking inside and out, cleaned the windows and put in the screens. Finished the job by cleaning up. They did a great job! We are very pleased.

Excellent service at a fair price. Jeannie is a wonderful person who is very knowledgeable and went out of her way to look for areas where we could save money on this large project. Jeannie and her crew were great to work with and I would highly recommend the company. She is honest, professional, friendly and her prices are reasonable. The crew was also great at cleaning up everything when the job was finished.
We got 4 different quotes from other companies on Angie's List and even though her price was not the least expensive her product was a better quality and her honesty and professionalism was what sold us. A couple of the other companies tried to sell us a new patio door and she told us the one we had was a great door and it didn't need to be replaced just reinstalled properly.
She even sent us "thank you for your business" flowers. I have never had that happen with any company and it was a pleasant surprise.

Recently bought a townhouse with a ton of windows we knew were going to need to be replaced. As we have a custom color window and have to adhere to the association's rules, our choices of vendors was a bit limited.
After much research, we had actually selected another vendor over JC Lilly as our initial concern was that the bigger company could do the job cheaper and quicker. Boy were we wrong. SO wrong in fact that after 12 weeks of waiting with this other vendor AND them ordering the wrong windows, we got them to let us out of the contract (which I respect) and return our deposit.
We went back to JC Lilly and in 4 weeks, they ordered and installed better windows for LESS than the bigger company. But I would be remiss if all I did was compare speed and price as the crew from JC Lilly is so much more.
To say the guys were professional, courteous and downright polite couldn't begin to describe them. From the start to the very end, Jeannie and the crew did everything to make us comfortable, explain what was going on, report back to us if they found issues and replace things as they went. No up charges to replace some rotten wood, no extra charges to cut and install casing. What we were quoted was what we paid. And given the size of the job, we appreciated that.
The crew did an amazing job installing the windows so quickly and with such precision, we couldn't believe it. In two days they installed 17 windows, 2 sliding doors, replaced all the interior casing and capped all windows on the outside with aluminum capping to match our association's requirements. It took them TWO days. Two days! Ridiculous!
Every corner of casing was perfectly cut. No caulk. Every window was cleaned when installed. Every crew member respected our home as it was their own. This was a major invasive job and we were so confident and relaxed the entire time. They even mopped
the floors when they left!
Jeannie (the "J" in JC Lilly) was also on hand to supervise, assist, clean up after the crew, talk to us, pet our dogs (poor dogs barked their heads off) and kept the guys going with breakfast, lunch and coffee. A true team effort.
When you do such a major project like this and spend the kind of money it requires to be done right, you hope and pray you're going to get a contractor who does what they promise and delivers a high quality service. JC Lilly did not disappoint.
If you have the chance to work with Jeannie and her crew, do it. You will be so glad you did.

They are incredible. I really enjoyed working with Jean, the owner. She came out about a month ago and looked at the job. She offered suggestions. She was very interactive, creative and encouraging. I just connected with her. One of the guys came out to do the measuring. He was just very professional and has a great personality. He has a lot of character. He has a good work ethic. He and his brother couldn’t be more efficient, professional and nice.

First of all, Jeannie is a pleasure to work with. In this era of giant corporations and automated call centers, it is so refreshing to deal with a real life business owner who cares deeply about her customers. Jeannie walked with us throughout the process, answering all of our questions, and making sure we were thoroughly satisfied with the end result.
Secondly, we got awesome windows for a great price. We can't believe how much we are saving on heating this month. The house used to be incredibly drafty and the furnace was on all the time. Now it seems like it never needs to go on. The windows are sharp looking, high quality, and well designed. We got double hung fiberglass windows for much of the house. They are light and easy to open and very easy to clean. Unlike wood or vinyl, we don't have to worry about warping so maintenance is minimal and the expected life of the windows is very long.
Lastly, the installation crew was top notch. Very professional. Very experienced. Very courteous. Very hard working. They took obvious pride in their craftsmanship and were very careful not to damage any of our interior trim or carpet or furniture. Unlike other contractors who use cheap inexperienced labor for installations, JC Lilly brought in the A-team for our project. These guys were real pro's.
I would use JC Lilly again in a heartbeat.

We first contacted a major vendor who is currently advertising $1 installation. That company insists that both homeowners be present for the sales call, which created an issue for my wife and me. When the salesman came to our home he was glib and seemed to fail to account for the fact that the windows and door would be installed in a garage. He wanted to sell us low e windows that really wouldn't make a difference in an unheated detached garage. He also wanted to sell us a custom door. We took his bid but wouldn't have hired him unless it were significantly less than the competition.
Then we contacted JC Lilly. What a difference! I spoke directly with Jeanne and she arranged for a site visit the next day - no need of having both my wife and me present. She arrived on time for our appointment and immediately grasped the scope of our project - she is also a homeowner in the city. She suggested ways to keep the price down. I was very impressed when she asked about the parking in our neighborhood - she was concerned that her installation crew might have trouble parking on our crowded street - to the extent that she wouldn't have taken the job if I couldn't assure her that we could find them a place. She sent a bid the following day which was clear and significantly less than the first company. We accepted her bid and sent in our deposit.
There was a six-week lapse between the accepted bid and the scheduled completion of the job - we wanted a custom color for the aluminum clad windows. As the installation date approached, Jeanne called to say there would be a delay - the window manufacturers were backlogged. It took a couple more weeks for the windows to be ready, but Jeanne kept us updated. On the appointed day for installation, Jeanne herself arrived before her crew, again to make sure that we had parking set aside for the crew's truck (we had saved them a spot on the street). The crew was very polite and clean, setting up and executing their jobs quickly. They arrived at around 8:30 in the morning and were done before 1:00 pm. The garage was cleaner when they finished than when they had started! The job looks great and was completed exceeding our expectations. Jeanne came back as they were cleaning up to inspect the job and spent nearly an hour talking with my wife and me. In all aspects of the job we were extremely pleased. We would definitely use JC Lilly again and will recommend them to anyone.

Jeannie was great to work with. I called her to provide an estimate for 5 windows in my century old home. She came out, took a look and suggested that I didn't need all 5 windows replaced to keep the historic value and suggested I get storm windows for 3 of them and 2 fiberglass casements. She was very prompt with her timing and always provided me follow-up to the status of my windows. Her team was also exceptionally professional. The windows were just installed today but I expect they will stand the frequent rain and extreme temperatures we have just fine. Now I am in the market for a wood restoration specialist...if only she did that as well.

Project was completed quickly and efficiently. The new windows are a significant improvement over the old decaying windows. Installers reported on time or early and completed on time. One problem was encountered when applying mortar around one of the window edges that had a cable TV coax cable caused disruption of cable TV service. This was quickly fixed and TV service was installed.

We found JC Lilly on Angie's List and it was a great experience with Jeannie from start to finish. I contacted her to discuss the situation and sent her photographs and measurements of the window. She promptly responded with 3 estimates/options which were far better than other quotes I'd received.
After deciding to go with JC Lilly, Jeannie sent someone out to take an accurate measurement of the window. She informed us that it would take a couple of weeks for the custom window to be manufactured. We set-up a tentative installation date (she would contact me if anything changed). On the morning of September 5, Jeannie was at my front door, window, ready to be installed! I left for work just as her crew was getting underway, and when I returned home that afternoon there was a beautiful new window in our bathroom. The icing on the cake? The entire space (inside and outside) was CLEAN...if it wasn't for the new window you wouldn't have known they were there.
We were incredibly pleased with the whole experience. When we remodel our upstairs bathroom next year, we'll be calling Jeannie at JC Lilly to replace the window in there too!

It was a pleasure to work with Jeannie and her crew from start to finish. She arrived promptly for the estimate, explained the different options for replacement windows clearly, stating the pros and cons of each option. She prepared detailed printed estimates for each option within 24 hours, but left the decision up to us i.e. there was no pressure to select the most expensive option.
We ultimately chose fiberglass replacement windows and could not be happier with the appearance and quality of the windows.
The installation went smoothly and without incident. The installation crew arrived punctually and got right to work. They did a really great job and were incredibly meticulous. There was literally no mess either inside or outside the house by the time they left. Jeannie supervised part of the installation herself and returned the next day to check out the completed installation.
Everyone seemed to be genuinely concerned that we would be pleased with the results which we very much were!

quick quote and very response. the owner personally did the quote and discussed the work in detail. it took some time to schedule the work, as the window had to be ordered and they were busy. however, jeannie was upfront about that and provided reasonable expectations.
the work was excellent, the individual doing the work did a great job, was friendly, and cleaned up after himself, explaining the features of the window before he left.
jeannie (the owner) personally called during and after the project to ensure we were happy. price was fair and beat other quotes we received.

Jeanie was very customer-friendly and came out to our house to show us windows and explain the different kinds. We settled on a fiberglass casement window because we wanted better quality and durability. The workman was awesome and when there was a problem with the frame, he found a solution and did a wonderful job. Jeanie uses workmen who are like artists. They are very detailed and proud of their work; that is so cool! The window looks great and now we can see our backyard and gardens with an unobstructed view.
We also had JC Lilly install our new front door. Jeanie helped us pick a Thermoclear door which we ordered through Lowes. The door was great, but unfortunately a bit bigger than standard size, and when added to the extra small size of our doorway, posed a unique problem for the worker. He called his brother and found a solution of shaving off a touch of the frame to make the door fit. We were relieved and the door looks awesome! It is airtight and adds so much to the look of the front. He had to replace the wood trim, patch and paint part of the wall above the door, but it looks like new and will save us money on energy! I have to admit, Ms Frankowski and I got off to a bit of a rocky start. I had set up an appointment with her assistant for an estimate, and Ms Frankowski called me that day to say that the appointment was made in error and we would have to re-schedule. I called her back, raising a mighty protest. So she left a commercial job on the south side of Chicago to come out to the suburbs for my small job (replacing the glass block window with vent window in my bathroom). She did not rush, taking all the time needed to measure, answer my questions, discuss replacement windows for other rooms, be nice to my cat, etc. She even warned me that the job would be loud and dusty and that I should keep my cats away. Then she went back to her south side job. Well, the day of the job, two men came, slightly early. One introduced himself and looked at the windows from the inside and one stayed outside. They were very professional and nice, got the job done quickly, cleaned up--suggesting that I Swiffer the floor to get it really clean. Now, my windows look great and my cats are fine!

I liked that they were exceptional, professional, very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I have gone through so many companies for windows. They were just a needle in a haystack. When she came out, she stood out being very professional being an owner. I got a very nice feeling from her. When the work was actually done, it was totally amazing. They came when they said they would. They were here five minutes early. She had her 7-men crew come out. The truck was there by 7.01 in the morning and was unloading. They were everything that you needed. They had everything needed to do the work. They were just like little worker bees. They were very friendly and were ready to answer any question. They started from the top and worked their way down. By 3 o’clock they were finished and cleaned up. You will never know that they were there. It was amazing. I thought that they had such a spirit of excellence in doing the work. They were so professional. They took their break, but went right back to work. They were so detailed and on point. I had so many different types of windows; thermal windows, wooden windows and glass block windows. There were a lot of different things to do. Everything was done in a satisfactory manner. Everything was done in a relatively short time. It was done in a clean manner. I would never go with anyone else for my windows. She gifted me flowers on top of that.

we had two very old and unusual-sized attic windows which we wanted to replace. Jeannie, the owner of JC Lilly came out quickly, measured the windows and recommended replacement with Marvin fiberglass windows. These had to be custom made because the dimensions were nonstandard. It took several weeks for the windows to arrive and they were installed in approx. 2 hours including framing. The installers were very good and it was apparent that they knew what they were doing. I would use Lilly again.
