I was searching for Chicago painters near me in the Lincoln Park area to paint my home’s basement and contacted Improovy after reading through their great reviews. In addition, I needed to find a Chicago painting company that also could install new drywall and trim baseboards in the basement, so this was a way more extensive project than a simple interior painting job or handyman-type drywall repair or patch. From start to finish, working with Improovy was much easier than any other Chicago-area contractors we’ve ever worked with. Without question, getting my interior painting quote online was easy, Improovy’s prices were very fair, they were able to start the very next week, and their professional painters really did an amazing job painting my basement. Not to mention, they were accommodating and took extra measures to keep my home clean during the extensive drywall and trim work being performed. They even worked into the weekend to finish on time and communication was not an issue as they updated me every step of the way. All in all, my basement looks fantastic and we could not be happier with the ease of process and the quality of painting workmanship. We had Improovy paint our family room and a bedroom. We got our quote very quickly by sending them photos of our rooms. Andre was helpful and the estimate was accurate, except that we discovered that there was more extensive water damage to our wall and ceiling than we realized, requiring some extra work. This increased the cost to account for the replastering (and they did a great job), but we felt the amount was quite reasonable for the amount of time and work involved. Juan and his crew were hardworking, courteous and obviously eager to do a good job. He was a nice guy and very easy to talk to. They took photos when they started so that everything—furniture, lamps, and everything hanging on the walls—was put back exactly as it was before they started, saving us a lot of work. They cleaned up immaculately. Juan and the others worked long hours to complete the job in a timely fashion. They asked our permission to stay after dinner to finish. We were contacted afterwards to see if everything was done to our satisfaction. In the daylight, we were able to notice a few small things that needed touching up. They came back and fixed them promptly and without objection. All in all, the painting was a pretty painless experience on our part, not the major hassle we’d been dreading.

One of the first things I wanted to do in my new condo was paint over the walls (lemon/lime weren't my style). After reaching out to various painters, only Andre was able to give me a confident quote the same day without even needing to schedule time to come out and see it. He talked me through all of the details and made sure I knew what I was getting. His quote was also well below anyone else's, AND it included a paint consultation. He was also able to get started on the work immediately. I put him in a challenging situation where I wanted the job done before Christmas Eve. He started the Wednesday before and was able to complete the job (1900 sq ft, moldings, and doors) in 5 days! A special shout out goes to his team from Millenials Painting, who was able to navigate around me moving stuff in the day before they wrapped up. Andre was communicative every step of the way. I couldn't be happier with the way things turned out.

Great! My project manager was on top of everything from the get go, all I had to do was be there when they showed up. Project was completed on time and at the cost originally quoted, which I feel like never happens, lol. They did a great job with prep and cleanup too. Barely could tell anybody had been there. Looking forward to working with again next time I have a project to do. Thank you!
