Sam and his crew did a great job in removing the existing roof while preserving the rooftop deck, installing a new reinforced roof and reinstalling the deck. Moreover, they sealed the brick and calked everything to ensure no leaking. Much of the wood under the prior roof had to be replaced. Sam did a great job on consultatively understanding our needs and proving solutions. His crew was attentive to detail and ensured the site was cleaned up at the end of each day. I highly recommend this company.

We had an emergency call pretty late in the day. They showed up quickly and worked even after sun down. The owner called after the work was done to make sure everything was up to my expectations.

I had a shingle missing due to high winds. Not wanting it to get any worse I looked for a roofing contractor to come out and fix it. Out of five different places Illinois affordable was the only one that called me back. They returned my phone call within 15 minutes and they had somebody out to repair within an hour. We negotiated a price and I was happy with the quality work and friendly employees. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. When you want something done fast and affordable just call them.

Sam was easy to work with and came out for an inspection the day I called and repaired our roof the next day. We were relieved to get our leaky roof fixed before the rain and snow started!

We needed to repair a flat roof on our 20-unit Lincoln Park condo. We selected Illinois Affordable Roofing to do the job. Sam, the grandson of this now 4-generation company, was the best contractor and company lead to work with. He was always in communication throughout the project, as he takes pride in the work that he and his workers do. This experienced crew have been working with him for years, and they have a mutual respect for each other. Using modern materials and well-honed skills, they installed a new rubber roof system. The workers were diligent and efficient, the price was good, and they will be returning in the spring to do tuckpointing on the building.

Excellent! This was my second time using Illinois Affordable Roofing. Sam and his team are highly professional and do a great job. They are reasonably priced and do not cut corners. Sam tells you exactly what you need to complete your project. I have to give them extra kudos because my credit union visa approved payment to them and then rejected payment and approved it again. Causing me to be double billed. Illinois Affordable Roofing worked to refund me the overpayment.

I went through Angie's List to get quotes. 2 of the 4 contractors responded. While the price was pretty much the same for both quotes, I picked Sam given his friendliness and willingness to walk through exactly what would be done. The team had to remove an existing wood deck to do the work and then put the deck back after. They were professional, open and competitive in price. There were no hidden charges and the quality of the work appears great. Sam followed up after the first heavy rain to check how things were. As expected, no issues. They did an A+ job and I did not feel ripped off.

When we first reached out to Sam for a bid, he came within 1-2 days to do a walk through and help us understand what issues needed to be addressed. Our condo roof was in poor shape so he helped us understand where extra costs may lie, based on the level of damage hidden beneath the roof. Sam's bid was chosen not only for its thoroughness and quality but because he future-proofed the roof as part of the bid by coating our split-face stone with a waterproof sealant. He also stood behind the quality of his crew's work with a 20 year warranty which includes materials and labor. After notifying him that his bid was chosen, he and his team were able to begin work in less than a week, and they finished the entire job, with its added complexities, in 4-days. During the process, Sam kept me updated on progress by meeting with me several times a day and at critical points in the process. He helped me photograph the damage that was found, understand the implications of that damage, and explore options for addressing the damage. He also provided helpful guidance in making those decisions. Not surprisingly, costs were higher than the estimate because of the damage discoveries beneath the roof surface, but we knew from the beginning our roof was in bad shape so the added material costs were understandable. Following completion of the work, the crew cleaned everything up so there was no indication they'd ever been there, and the roof held up during several severe storms after installation. Looking back, I'm glad we chose to work with Sam and his crew, and I value his willingness to check in on our roof over time, to ensure it's holding up as well as his warranty would indicate!

Sam and his team were extremely fast and professional. Not only did he keep us in the loop while the work was being done, his contracts offer five-ten years of guarantee, which makes us feel comfortable.

The job was done well and they did not left a mess. Also the owner was very nice and help me out with other things that came out during the roof installation.

I loved that this was a three-generations family business, and all three generations were on-site every day. Sam and his crew were excellent. The bid process was quick and well-informed. And once the job began, they were prompt, easy to communicate with, respectful hard workers. Despite the high temperatures, the work was done on time with very few hiccups. When the dumpster left some debris behind, Sam and his sons promptly came by to ensure the removal of the remaining debris. I would definitely recommend working with this company.

Sam and his team were terrific. Sam came out the day after we talked on the phone and gave me a great quote using drone footage (of my 3rd story roof) and we discussed my options for the preventative maintenance I wanted done on the townhouse I had just purchased. He was very knowledgeable about what I needed and how my roof related to my townhome neighbors, which helped me make an educated decision. He and his crew came out two days later, and were very friendly and professional. They worked quickly and did great work, and of course made sure to clean up and showed me live drone footage and pictures of their work (since I definitely wasn't getting up on my 3rd story roof, haha). Will definitely hire again for future work.
