The work they did is beautiful. The price was good, they even gave me 10% off for being an Angie's List member. The painting was perfect, you can't even tell there was any work done. This is a family run business and they are always so nice and professional. Talk to Tony, he's great!

I've used Howard Auto Body a few times now - a couple of times for repairs and checkups, and once for body work after a minor accident. They are on the high end on price, but with these guys you get what you pay for - they've been consistently super high quality every time I've taken my vehicles there.

WOW. This place is incredible. I just had such a positive experience with Howard Auto Body and Repair! My 1997 Chevy Malibu was acting up, and I took it in for an estimate on repairs, which was REALLY reasonable considering the amount of work that it needed. Brian was so helpful, patient, and kind on the phone, and he explained everything to me really well. I was so impressed with their customer service overall. Once I agreed to have the work done, they finished in about a day. I had trouble getting back to pick up the car by the time they closed, and they were so nice to let me wait until the following day to pick it up. When I went to get the car, I met several other people who worked there, and they were all just as professional and kind as Brian. These guys really seem to love their jobs, which makes them so good at what they do. I was worried and stressed about my car's problems and they made me feel so much better. If you are looking for an honest, reputable auto shop with that intimate, small-town vibe that we all long for in Chicago, look no further! In closing, I will say: Helpful! Friendly! Nice! Awesome! These guys are absolutely terrific.

They did an excellent job. They offered me coffee and bottled water while I waited for them to look at the car and give me an estimate. Their estimate was higher than another auto body shop, so they offered to match the lower estimate. They were extremely courteous and explained everything they would be doing. The day I brought the car in, they gave me a ride home. The car was ready when they said it would be. They picked me up and took me back to the shop. The fender looked like new and they also repaired a couple of other scrapes on the car. They washed the car inside and out. It was cleaner than the car wash I normally take it to. I highly recommend Howard Auto Body. I especially like how courteous they are. You won't be disappointed with them.

I was rather happy with their price. They did a very good job. I didn't have anything to complain about. I would definitely recommend them.

Our SUV went into the shop at night and I had it back in my posession the following night. After they found out what repairs were necessary they called me and gave me the details and the estimated price. I received a detailed invoice which included parts and labor hours. They went out of they're way to have it ready for me as soon as possible even though they were super busy.

Howard Auto Body did an excellent job throughout. They made a next-day appointment for an estimate; completed the estimate while I waited; offered sensible advice concerning various options for repair; and promptly scheduled the work.

They completed the work on time and exactly as described, honoring the original quoted price while going somewhat beyond the original scope of work to make sure I would be satisfied with the results (which I definitely was).

Antonio and Brian were a pleasure to deal with: friendly. knowledgeable, and responsive to my questions and concerns. This company appears to work very hard to provide quality services at a reasonable price. They obviously care about doing a good job for their customers.

I called to set up an appointment and was able to come in the next day. I spoke with the owner since his manager was on vacation that week. When I arrived, my car was taken in immediately. There was no waiting. The work was performed expeditiously and I was out of there in a short amount of time. The waiting area is not fancy. but since I was there a short time, it was not an issue. I have had no problems since the work was done, so I assume all was satisfactory.

I had rear light cover replaced. The car also needed some body work since rear was slightly pushed in during the collision. Antonio provided an estimate while advising reasonably on the work that can and can not wait. I went to few shops prior to stopping by them and they were different in that matter. Prior to ordering the part we went over estimate details. I wanted assurance that estimated labor will not go over certain percent of estimate and they delivered all they way. Work was performed in timely manner and very professionally by Frank. He also provided advice on overall condition of the car. I plan to go there again for service work. I couldn't have been more pleased.

The process went well overall. The owner is friendly and patiently explained I had two options... the replacement or the less expensive patch job. He warned the patch job would not look that good. I chose the full replacement. They were on time with respect to both ordering the part (new bumper cover came when they estimated) and doing the job in the time estimated. In addition they cleaned out my car thoroughly, no added charge, it seemed like a new car again! (a 2003 Honda Civic). His estimate was a bit less than the other company I tried. (The other company was also well rated on Angie's List but I liked this one better)

Tony and his staff are fabulous! My car had severe damage and since it is an old car past its prime, I only wanted the absolutely necessary fixes done. Not only did Tony do a superb job of repairing the damage and replacing the necessary parts, he added cosmetics touch-ups at no cost. And he did not try to upsell me or convince me to agree to more than I needed. The cost of the repair was quite a bit lower than a competitor's estimate. Although I hope never to have to get more body work done, if I do, I will not hesitate to use Howard Auto Body again. They are professional, efficient, and friendly. Highly recommended.

The problem was diagnosed, corrected, and they took the car in for its inspection (passed). Brought the car in a 9 and picked it up before noon.

Antonio was fantastic. I have a very reliable 8-year old manual Civic that I want to maintain mechanically but not necessarily spend a lot of cash on every scratch and ding. My car had a large dent on the passenger front wheel well fender that scraped on the door when I opened it and made it difficult to open the hood; I asked Antonio if he could pound it out without painting. He said yes, and explained very clearly that the fix would not be perfect, and that he could also provide a new panel if I wanted a higher quality solution. Also, two years prior someone had broken into my car with a crow bar at the passenger window, causing damage under the window trim that was rusting; I asked Antonio if he could grind the rust and prime it; Antonio told me that he could, but that the trim might get damaged and might require replacement. He told me that he could fix both on the spot within 2 hours; I asked him if I could do work while I was waiting at a desk, which he supplied. He also asked if I wanted something to drink. His staff and family were very courteous and helpful. The work was completed within 90 minutes, and the work was spectacular, much higher quality than I had anticipated.

When I discovered the damage, I showed it to my son-in-law who noted that the paint had been cracked in a few spots. This meant I had to get the repair done before rusting set in. I've had earlier work done at Tony's shop and knew I'd return. When I drove my vehicle there, Tony gave me the estimate promptly and told me it would take 3 days to do the job right. I needed the car for a few days so I asked if it could wait. Tony assured me he could do the job when I could do without the car, within a reasonable time. Two weeks later, I drove the car over to the shop and Tony had one of his employees drive me home. Two days later, Tony called to let me know the car would be ready the following day at noon. At 11:30AM the next day, he called again to tell me his employee would be in front of the house in fifteen minutes. Precisely in 15 minutes, I had my ride waiting--motor running and A/C going (it was HOT out that day!). I was really pleased to see how good my car looked. It was impossible to tell where the dent had been. Thanks to Tony and Howard Auto Body and Repair for a superlative job. (By the way, the estimate was exactly the cost of the work.) I tell everyone who needs body work where the best job and service can be found: Howard Auto Body.

I drove into the lot at Howard Auto Body, went in and spoke with Tony. He checked the car over, gave me the estimate of $380. When I told him I would leave it right then, he accepted the job even though he usually does them by appointment. I then told him I needed the car short of the 3 day time period he gave me and, by hook or crook, he met my deadline! On top of it I needed to find a ride in order to pick up the finished car and Tony sent one of his employees. The car looks beautiful and, although I'm a picky person, Tony was pleasant and polite at all times. This is one of those services that you pray you never have to avail yourself of but, if I have to again, Tony's shop is the one.
